U.S. says it is prepared for military solution against Islamic State in Syria

The US has been completely ineffective in combating IS in Syria. And as far as I know, Syria has not invited the US. The US even established an airfield in northern Syria without Syria's permission.

We are right BEHIND you g.i. Joe. "Old men make war, young men die in war." President Obama was elected to keep US boots out of foreign wars. He has done it. Yes, NATO needs to take on the battle, but not the USA with a few NATO troops. Apparently, there isn't enough money to replace the lead pipes that are providing poison in the water and killing children in Flint, Michigan, but there is enough money to pay for other "priorities."

Anytime anyone complains about the US debt, and about not having enough money to pay for something, while supporting the size of the US military, they show themselves to be a warmongering hypocrite who doesn't actually care about money, only about war.

Many Syrians did not rise up against Assad. The ex British ambassador to Syria said the Christians, Shias, Alawites, Druze and most secular Sunnis support Assad. The USA, Israel, and the Saudis have been trying to destabilize Syria since 2006. Some ways were by funding opposition groups with taxpayer money, promoting the Sunni and Shia divide (our divide and conquer), paying and supporting Jihadists. Just because Turkey is in NATO doesn't mean they think like Europe does. I know sometimes we have to work with bad players to reach a goal This may bite us in the long haul. Erdogan is using the Kurds to run a re-election to stack his Congress to make him supreme leader.

True. Only Russia has been officially invited to fight the terrorists. No surprise there, since IS was created and is being funded by the US, Saudi and other coalition partners to destabilize Assad's government. You wonder where IS get all their weaponry and Toyotas? Wonder no more.
