Whatever happened to the good ole days when a bevy of posters on this forum claimed that the rebels weren't receiving weapons nor support from Turkey?

You shut them all up BB. You've been following this topic and ur comments here are usually spot on.

Thanks to the russians, the rebels got their as*es handed to them. This also goes to show how the obama administration was all wrong & confused . . . and that Putin (was right) shoved the administration to the sideline and put up those russian bombers.

Where are those posters now?

They're in the forums featuring candidates and the campaign trails of politicians like "H. Clinton" or "B. Sanders. That's where they are BB.

So who exactly are our friends in this gong-show? And are all of their friends our friends?

Where are those posters now?

Unlike the posters who claim to understand what's going on in Syria and elsewhere in MENA, I find the mess a ball of confusion (thanks Temptations). Those who claim to understand must have information and insight gained from government sources deep in the military and spook world, perhaps even in the secret societies they say are actually running things. To me, I see no good guys.

So who exactly are our friends in this gong-show?

Russian and Syrian leaders and military are our friends, unless of course if by "our" you are referring to the west's military industrial complex.

And what is it that makes them our friends?

Bush,

In fact, the notion that Turkey and Saudi Arabia were funding the rebels was dismissed as a "conspiracy theory".

Nah, it was when you claimed the initial unarmed protesters against the Assad regime were Blackwater mercenaries and CIA agents that earned you the tinfoil hat.

“The moderate opposition is beyond angry at the Obama administration. It is stupefied by American inaction,” said Jouejati, who is in regular contact with rebel groups.

Well, I guess Obama can his erase his Sunni oil and gas pipeline project across Syria, off of the White Board now. It will probably take 10 to 20 years for the truth to finally be written by historians about Obama's Wars. The MSM can't do it.

Why wait 10 to 20 years Fizz?

Real Russian Troofers report from the future on this conflict. "Assad has won" remember. All you need is this:
