Certainly it is a magnanimous, more than an appropriate act, under international law for a sovereign state defender to offer amnesty to a mercenary invading force, provided they lay down their arms and surrender. These ghouls murdered tens of thousands of Kurdish and Arab, and Christian Aleppo citizens in 2013, when they invaded from the north, using weapons provided by Saudi, Kuwait, and the Unites States, and destroyed the secular Syrian city of Aleppo, desecrating its monuments, raping its women, killing it's defenders, and destroying and looting the extensive industry of this once proud, largest city in the Republic of Syria. As President Assad has stated, most who voluntarily lay down their arms and leave now will be granted amnesty , excepting those who used civilians, women and children, as human shields during the 2013 attack on Aleppo and in later battles. Those will feel the steel of justice.

Asked about the Russian operation, Kerry said Washington was still unsure of Moscow’s intent: “It has the risk, if it is a ruse, of completely breaking apart the level of cooperation.”

Kerry is such a bufoon. As if there was cooperation in the first place. All I remember is Putin telling Obama, "Step Aside, we're taking over." From that point on Russia has been in charge in Syria and NOT the US. Just goes to show there is, just all around, weak leadership in the administration.

Please America has committed so many war crimes please go on?.....

Russia is doing a great job and killing the s-c-u-m over there.

America - Obama, how are the rebels going to make the country a better place if they win?

Will not that the rebels held hostage 200 rights workers 1 year ago, as their backers the "CIA" took 2 long weeks trying to free them.

The rebels are now also beheading kids.

Dear Obama wtf are you smoking? You have killed so many people by backing people that would make Syria worse then Liberia.

Assad must be backed as these Rebel thugs are just that.....Thugs with guns killing innocent people.

The best thing America can do is back Russia work together and try get an open vote watched by the U.N. From what i hear Assad would win. If not take him back to Iran or Russia.

If Russia can keep the supplies out of Aleppo the terrorists will be forced to fight or concede. The end of this "War" is near, but will Obama try to resupply his terrorists (militia)?

U.S. worries Russian humanitarian operation in Syria may be 'ruse'

Oh you mean how the Russians are aiding and supplying the "Free Syria Army" with weapons, of which the group turns out to be a bunch of Islamist factions relating to ISIS and al-Qaeda, just for the purpose of trying to topple Assad because of geopolitical reasons? Oh wait no, that that's the US!

obliqueweapons, good post.

Look to Hillary (if elected) to continue working for the fall of the secular Assad govt and find excuses to avoid working together with Russia to stop an Islamic takeover of Syria.

President Putin, carry on and best wishes!

Good posts everyone.

The rebels are now also beheading kids.

I saw the video. I wish I hadn't.

An interesting read for an alternative opinion on this Reuters piece.

Ask Trump to ask Putin what's going on. They're good friends.

Consdering the US is one of the main culprits on why Syria is a mess i'd say please refrain yourself from pointing fingers.
