22 extremists? Big deal. The UK has already let in hundreds, possibly thousands already. How is this news?...

Criticising Islam is fostering Hate eh? Good to know. Does that mean if I talk about how Mohammed married the 6 year old Aisha, an how this makes him a pedophile, that I would be barred from Britain? Just curious here. I mean thats how the Saudi's justify child marriages like the one that was finally annulled despite several Imam's trying to prevent it.

    "Muslim extremists"

They have caused untold misery in this world.

Savage told the conservative Web site WorldNetDaily.com that he was considering legal action against Smith for defamation.

I was listening to him today on my way home from work. He was going off. But no less than any other time.

Michael Savage started airing his program in Britain. They get a full dish of the Savage Nation every day. < :-)

This is the problem with JT's practice of lifting world news from American websites. Most of the information is about Americans who are not welcome.

Never heard of Michael Savage before, but ridiculous to ban him from entering just for speaking his mind.

I listen to Savage, yes he can be a bit extreme, but he has never advocated doing anything violent (except maybe to criminals). He cuts across both parties; he thought McCain was not good enough to be President but was the lessor of two evils. He had no love for GWB, and thoght he was inept. Same thing goes for Obama and other Dems in the gov't. He really has no use for Limbaugh, Hannity, or O'Reilly.

His show does make you think, and that is what I like about it. He is no worse than the others on the left and right. Britian needs to probably start looking at its own self. If people in your country think that what a man says in another country can spark protest in your own, I think that the problem lies in what is going in Britian in regards to what they are letting in and not what someone was saying.

"Popular American talk-radio host, Michael Savage, who broadcasts from San Francisco and has called the Muslim holy book, the Quran, a “book of hate,” is on the list."

The term "popular" to describe Savage and his program is questionable. His comments on the Quran though seem tame compared with someone who might fire off blatantly racist terminology like "Paki" or "r@ghead" ! Those words of course most famously quoted in a 2006 video of the royal family's Prince Harry ! Hmmm, is he still allowed in the UK ?

It is good news that they didn't fill the list with only Muslims. But 22 sounds a bit short, if you want to ban everyone who happens to be quoted at sometime in their life of saying something counter to the present conservative thinking British governments policies. Is Mugabe on the list?

Mike Savage is an ass. He doesn't deserve the publicity, in fact, I thought he'd shrieked his way into obscurity when he got fired years ago.

it appears the Britsh threw some Americans on their list just so they wouldn't be called anti-islamic.

Mike Savage is an ass." True, but after listening to him throughout the day, he is hardly a right winger much less a racist.

I guess, with the way things are going, you are either with the left or against them. Damn, I loved London.

Britain was a free country once. We used to speak our minds there, even us Mickey Brits. Now you can't say anything. The Labour Party views homosexuality as something we should all aspire to, and if you say anything at all about Islamics you get hurled into jails. This list shows that mindset. Being anti-homosexual is apparently anti the values of the British, but must of us find gays repulsive, even though we have to tolerate them. So Fred Phelps is an undesirable.

I hope the 6 we didn't publish includes Gordon Brown, Tony Blair and Jacqui Smith.

    texasr....,

"it appears the Britsh threw some Americans"

Nah....the muslims don't have a monopoly on extremism. Your posts over the years on JT are living proof of that.

Not a big fan of Savage, but I do agree with him when he said on his show: "What does that say about the government of England? It says more about them than it says about me."

Savage must be doing something right if a group of Brits wants to ban him from a country that allows a Muslim leader to say "Death to England!" with impunity.

    RIP, Brittania

I get a chuckle when I read and hear about the outrage, especially from the right, about how Michael Savage shouldn't be listed as an extremist.

I believe in free speach and even though I don't care for what Savage says, I support his right to say it.

But it's funny how when Yusuf Islam (formerly Cat Stevens) wasn't allowed in the US because he was listed as an extremist in the US and the plane even diverted from it's original destination to keep Yusuf Islam from entering the US.

Seems like Britain isn't the only country that has a squewed outlook as to who's an extremist. < :-)

Banning extremists? England is already toast. I recall reading somewhere it is so bad that they have basically allowed the CIA near carte blanche to track the militant Mohammedans within the UK - seems Brit security forces lack the funding and capability. This silly woman Jacqui Smith is rightly described by Savage as "a witch." Drudge is saying Savage plans legal action.

teleprompter: Another American with no knowledge of Britain putting the country down. What you read about the CIA is rubbish. Savage is a racist homophobe, who should reside in a country that deserves him, namely the good ol US of A.

This Mike Savage guy knows Engerland:

'...And I was just planning a trip to England for their superior dental work and cuisine," he told the right-leaning news website WorldNetDaily yesterday. "Then it sank in ... She's linking me with mass murderers who are in prison for killing Jewish children on buses? For my speech? The country where the Magna Carta was created?" '

Savage has my vote. Long live free speech!! Such selective nilly-willy intolerance from the Brits. I can understand why my ancestors fought the War of Independence. Europe tolerates the intolerance of the homofascists and the radical Muslims, but what happens when those two cultures clash? Homosexed Muslims? Nah...don't think so.

"for their superior dental work and cuisine"

Heh, I've no idea how British dental work scores, but English "cuisine" shows Mikey Shriekvage clearly ate in the best curry house in Brick Lane.

But his claims he'll sue the UK are pretty amusing. Go back to obscurity mike, there's a good lad.

Heh, I was just looking to see what sort of quotes I could find of this shock jock's hate filled rants. You guys defending his "free speech" outta be ashamed of yourselves.

In fact, I'm actually starting to wonder if this guy post on JT.

Not a fan of Savage either, but throwing him in with real terrorists is political correctness, pure and simple.
