@marcelito If someone took a piece of your country and then called a cease fire, would you honor it? And yes, the US IS responsible for the deaths in Gaza and Iraq. We give weapons and support to the brutal Israeli regime and created an unstable situation in Iraq by removing Saddam.

I am going to send Atlas map to Putin in mail.

Donetsk is not a part of Russia and the world knows Putin is invading Ukraine. Russian's budget is based on oil export $75/barrel. Hope EU will go along for economic sanctions against Russia until Putin gives up. It is not easy, but can be done..

Ukraine is taking back its country from criminals backed up by Russia. The USA needs to get tough with Russia and back up the agreement to keep Ukraine independent. Next needs to come sanctions by the world community until Russia gives up. Also NATO troops in the Ukraine to prevent Russia from invading.

It is true for current situation. But at the same time they have no to stay in Ukraine. That is why they declared independence, according to Right of self-determination (remember Kosovo?).

from criminals backed up by Russia.

They aren't criminals but citizens of Eastern Ukraine. Coal-miners, workers, peasants etc. They are Russian-speaking and they have no desire to live under rule of illegal junta from Kiev. That is why they are fighting for their Independence and Freedom.

If you tolerate Americans on your soil, it doesn't matter that other nations feel the same way. "Sanctions" will not scare Russians. And if Russian government decide to protect the population of Eastern Ukraine in Loughansk and Donetsk from aggressive attack of "Ukranian ärmy" (various armed groups, in reality), they will do it.

Putin called for ceasefire around July 18th but reports as of July 24th were that Russia continues to build up its forces at the Ukrainian border.

I think it will work. Putin almost did not make it in last election. He barely made it. There are too many Russians who are opposed to Putin. So we will see. People still remember these bad days they had to line up for a loaf of bread for many hours in cold winter.. Putin may not be able to stay in power with the sanction.

If your wife demanded a divorce and half the land you both lived on, setting up a tent on the other side of the yard from you, would you accept the divorce and give her the land, or would you run over and try to beat her into submission?

Sorry, but these ethnic Russians living in eastern Ukraine don't want this marriage with the Ukraine government anymore, just like it was in Crimea. Killing people won't earn any love from their survivors. So yes. You let them go.

It will be a big push now in order to bring in as much chaos as possible to get the populace to accept the harsh IMF loans and conditions. Much of the illegal Ukraine Gov is stepping down now (PM etc). +this Gov is running out of money so there is the time factor also.

Sorry the main point :

East Ukraine mostly has a RUSSIAN population

Yes - it is so

They are citizens of Ukraine BUT they are Russian

So new " democratic" government of Ukraine start ethnic cleansing

Ukraine for Ukrainian

Dozens of towns destroyed by artillery and aircrafts

Tens of thousands residents of south east Ukraine fled to Russia

Its like Tutsi and Hutu
