Ukraine is indeed in a difficult position. Here's hoping the US and NATO can recognize that as Russia will only seek to take advantage.

Ukraine was put into a difficult position by the U.S. backed coup. The Ukrainian government is still refusing to admit to the fact that the civil war is an internal problem for ar least a quarter of a century. Russia did not start the civil war and in fact brokered a cease fire with the help of Ukraine, Germany and France, while The Kiev regime is scapegoating Russia they are making reasonable trade agreements. What Kiev should worry about are the private ultra rightist militias like the Azov Batallion. Now the mainstream press is starting to worry about them. This terrible civil war could have been avoided if they had followed Edmund Burke's advise to Parliament with regard to the American colonies.

Ukraine was put into a difficult position by the Russian backed government crackdown on innocent protesters. Once that happens, the law goes out the window, and the violent elements thrive.

The elected government was overthrown by a mob, which included Right Sector and Svoboda. That is where the problem started.

So now the rebellion goes back a quarter century, huh? Wow, you Russians don't waste any time rewriting history.

Russia plans to eliminate Ukraine as an independent state and could spark a new offensive in the east to achieve that aim, Ukraine’s prime minister

The austerity required by international creditors is pressing down on already-low standards of living in Ukraine. Yatsenyuk rattled off a series of harsh changes implemented by his government, which have included increases in taxes, a reduction in social entitlement programs and a freeze in state salaries.

So - the main conclusion from Ukrainian crisis - democracy - really works!!!

Why ?? Because any other solution is much more worse.

Mr Yatsenyuk had no chances on democratic elections. No chances at all. But he was hungry for power. So he agreed to took part in coup d'etat .

If Ukraine was African country it could work. But not in Europe. So whole next year after putsch he should wage war against his own people. And he destroyed Ukraine economy in this war.

Ukraine was independent country before Yatsenyuk come to power by illegal way. And Ukraine can be independent without Yatsenyuk's reign.

So this is not a war for democracy , this is a war for crown...

Democracy needs much less blood than game of Thrones ....

which included Right Sector and Svoboda. That is where the problem started.

These parties were nowhere to be found during the initial round of protesting, which was all peaceful. However, the thuggery of the Syrian government against the protesters during that time is well documented. Once the government used force, then the riots started. That's when all hell broke loose and the violent thugs sitting on the sidelines suddenly took center stage. That's also when people from outside of the region start pouring in just because of the violence.

What happens next is typical. In the middle of the chaos the propagandists will always choose the most violent/radical members and present them as leaders of the entire group. Throw in false claims of a genocide and a language law that was never a law and there's your headline: Genocide by Nazi Warriors Against Russians. The thought that there was ever a peaceful protest is scrubbed from memory.
