They're missing the larger picture. If they continue down this road it will make a comprehensive peace deal more difficult, in my opinion. It's counterproductive.

Shame on the United States, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Slovakia, Ukraine, and the 11 mostly European and African countries that abstained for not agreeing to a request to carry out credible investigations into alleged abuses. Hey, lets sweep the war crimes and crimes against humanity under the rug, shall we. After all, we can't punish our great "friend" Israel, can we.
Oh, how nice of him to agree, grudgingly and with caveats, to not completely wipe Palestine off the map.
sabiwabi at 08:47 AM JST - 17th October
Those who think that are missing the even bigger picture. That Israel has been allowed to commit decades of similar war crimes with impunity, and never achieving peace (Israel's fault, of course). This is Palestine's chance to at least have the world see what Israel is truly about. Hopefully the "world community" will start pressuring Israel to respect international law, UN resolutions, and basic human decency.

Hey, not everybody buys into the "Palestinian" lie. Good on them. The U.N. is a total farce anyway, so whatever.

"Israel... deliberately targeted civilians, used Palestinaians as human shields"
They did not.

This is good. I don't take sides, both Israel and Hamas need to be brought to book for their actions.
With regard to members of the Israeli Defense Forces who engaged in war crimes, all I can say is that your tactics differ little from the SS. Back in the day, the profession of arms actually had a sense of morality and hour about it about it (remember the ethics classes), but thanks to people like you, that has all gone out the window.
Meanwhile Hamas is no better. Hiding among your own people and using them as human shields defies belief. If and when there is another election, the people should remember such actions and condemn your organization to the trash can of history.

Gosh Sarge did you forget the UN warehouses that were safe havens for women and children. Israel bombed a school full of teachers and children. But, that's okay? < :-)
Helter_Skelter at 02:19 PM JST - 17th October
Gosh adaydream, do you mean the U.N. warehouses that the Hamas terrorists commandeered and looted at gunpoint? Even the U.N. complained.

How very Zionist of you Helter Skelter, blame the women and children from being bombed and sprayed with white phosphorous or shot while holding white flags! How dare they stand in the way! They should have run away....to where? They're caged in like animals. Check what's left of Gaza after the Israeli "silk glove treatment" of civilians, as they describe it themselves: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlM2ED8l71c
The Goldstone Report was fair, balanced and written by an eminent Jewish judge. Hardly grounds for the usual shrill cry of "Anti-Semite!" for anyone who dares to call Israel on its murderous behaviour. Time to haul Olmert, Barak, Livni and Bibi in front of the ICC for crimes against humanity. Or their lack thereof.
rajakumar at 10:34 PM JST - 17th October
War crimes in Israel/Palestine,will it go down via war crimes report?
May be or may be not. Definitely law/lawyers aid, going up in Palestine. Law don't make people richer economically.
adaydream at 04:50 AM JST - 19th October
Helter_Skelter you're right. But the fact remains that Israel bombed safe havens for women and children.
Emptying warehouses because you can't get needed supplies across the border is a lot different then killing innocents. < :-)
Helter_Skelter at 06:28 AM JST - 19th October
I don't blame the women and children Libertas. I blame your terrorist pals Hamas who use "Palestian" civilian lives as political fodder for their quest to eliminate the Infidel. They know there are plenty of dupes like yourself who will buy into it. So please spare us the charade that you actually care about the lives of "Palestinian" women and children.
