Apparently my definition of a "happy ending" is different then that of the authors. I fail to see how all these nations, getting together, and pledging to simultaneously destroy their economies, while taxing their citizens into the dust, is a happy ending. Particularly when the whole thing is based on nothing more then fraudulent science.
Now if the conference was to end in a collosal failure, with no agreement at all, then yes, that would be a "happy ending". I suspect though what we'll have is a tragic ending, where the world agrees to commit economic suicide together, for nothing.

The warmening was a clever scam while it worked. But The Mail says most people don't believe in it anymore.

The Chinese, Indian, U.S., Australian, British, European govenments and leaders and administrations of nearly 200 countries have - amazingly - ALL been sucker-punched by global warming "hysteria" and untruthful e-mails from confused British scientists.
That must be why the coming Copenhagen meeeting on climate change is going to be attended by one of the largest group of presidents and prime ministers ever assembled.
Damn that Al Gore guy who I'm SURE is getting rich from all of this thanks to his big house, jetset lifestyle and .......um......other stuff - yeah!
My favorite Conservative talk show hosts say it. I believe it. That's the end of it.

SushiSake3 The right certainly does have its loose nuts, as does the left.
I don't think anyone is against cleaner air, but the kind of treaty "they" seem to be working on is on the far left nutter communistic side of things.

Be ware of governments worldwide who use this climate change banana to just do simplest thing as any government can do :that is tax and more tax...If they can manage to tax their citizens heavily now, they can always have advantages to bribe people DURING election time.

Blissfully ignoring Climategate, they troops are marching on...

It's pretty funny watching the Climate Change Deniers - with straight looks on their faces - saying that the Earth is actually cooling while not mentioning the polar ice caps are melting faster than ever.
(I'm still waiting for at least 1 Climate Change Denier to explain how the news they read about how the Earth is cooling has actually - successfully - completely defied the laws of physics.)
Another thing they fail to mention is that the cooling factoid they quote is actually a brief downward blip in an ongoing upward trend of average global temperatures - ie: natural variation that is definitely not a trend.
And then there's the one about how "Al Gore and the scientists" are "cashing in big" from "climate change hysteria."
That one becomes even funnier when the Climate Change Deniers - without exception - are NEVER able to explain exactly how this is occuring.
They just 'heard it.'
So it must be true. lol! :-)

The Earth is cooling and soon we will be in mini ice age. melting polar caps just a blip.

I did not see anything about taxing people in this article, so what gives? Personally I love hot and human weather. With rising seas, think of all the structural economics which will be needed and create jobs. Sounds like a plus in my book.

That's an interesting preference. I prefer natural over man-made weather. I didn't even know we had reached the stage of creating our own weather systems nowadays. I heard of (hu)mankind influencing weather... but the implied making of weather itself? Huh!

yeah, it cool enough to melt ice. the logic's make sense! by the way you turn on heater so that you can get cooler during summer?

thedeath - "by the way you turn on heater so that you can get cooler during summer?"
It's a patented Republican phenomenon called 'heated cooling.'
It's a true lie.

SushiSake3 The antarctic is growing and temperatures have been drippoing for at least the past 5 years.

proxy, care to back that up with a link to some evidence?
0
WilliB
Oh right, evidence!
How convenient that all the source data were erased after being treated with various tricks to hide the decline. My son wouldn´t get away with that in a high-school science project, but hey if you are a research with millions of government grants, the scientific rules change...

WillB,
yes, evidence - like this from NASA -

Sure, there are a million links:

that is selective evidence and argument. that is the same old trick you guys always point out. give me something new please! everyone know that we start record way longer than 5 years.
there are unusual warm year that make the years follow seem to be cooler, but why you look at the longer corrected data, no! the temperature doesn't get any cooler.

what is really funny, is that all these people are going to fly on airplanes, ride in cars, create amazing amounts of waste, and the biggest blunder of all, they are going to eat meat, all kinds of meat. Yup, these are the people that are going to stop global warming. guess they never heard of video conferencing.

NASA (which has been receiving billions in climate research grants) has been in on the data scam.
But like good troopers, the believers keep marching on, and damn the facts (and scientific integrity)...

willib, you know it easy to say that. and you know you don't have much fact to show actuary.
back in 18-19th, global warming wasn't in anyone attention. it wasn't a point to ask for more money support, not even a point of business gain. but yet the data during that time already show the rising.

sorry,

This is hilarious!
"Climate change" was the term adopted by the anti-regulation business community and the Bush administration to soft-pedal the danger of global warming. Now you're blaming that term on conspiring scientists?
Hilarious!

WilliB
Nessie:
Oh, so the global warming community takes their talking points from the Bush administration? And then sticks to it? Wow, I never knew they were such push-overs.
Tell us more!

Oh who cares. This is going through and whether its real or not, there is going to be a lot of money to make. And that's all that matters now.
0
SushiSake3
Skip - who is going to make money (besides yourself) and how?
No one I have yet seen can yet explain how the so-called harbingers of climate doom are profiting from this.

There are really only 3 types of people believing in this stuff anymore. The hardcore eco-nuts, who blame everything bad on mankind, regardless of evidence. The people with something to gain, scientists with more grants, people in "green industries" or investors in such, and then the gullible fools.

Baby steps, WilliB. Baby steps.
