Obama, Pelosi and Reid will go down in history as the most destructive trio of majority leaders the country ever had.

“President Bush has left President Obama a hard hand to play: an economy in crisis and a budget in deep deficit, in deficit this year alone by $1.752 trillion,” said Rep John Spratt, D-S.C., chairman of the House Budget Committee.
Member of the Budget Committee since 1995 and chairman since 2001... Bush's fault, yea right!!! buhahahaha

I'm getting tired of hearing about this. No one pushed Obama or anyone to run for president. Everyone know what kind of task this was going to be. Oh, how come Spratt doesn't ever mention anything about Frank and Dodd? They're still there you know.

telepromter: I don't think Obama will go down like that. But I think we are on the same page about Pelosi and Reid. Two born with a silver spoon in their mouths-libs. And they think they know how the rest of America wants to live.

Bill Clinton had balanced budgets and surpluses. Cuts had to be made for that to be done.

Isn't it great when we can all come together in agreement? But it won't happen this year at all.
But it is great when most of the democrats come together when we need to get things done. I'm waiting for a few more days and hopefully the stockmarket has risen even 100 point in a few days, home sales continue on the up swing as with, foreclosed homes being snatched up...may some more repoublicans will come over to Obama's side.
Hard to fight success.
Oh..Oh..Oh....I was listening to Shawn Hannity this morning just slamming Obama like an anvil, non stop...I mean not taling a breath. I concerned about him. But Laura Ingram will be back from vacation tomorrow, she'll be in fine form also. Conservative radio entertainers are just going berserk. Obama's keeping the talk show entertainers in business that's for sure. < :-)

Tired of hearing about george bush's deficits, huh. I'm tired of hearing about an Iraqi war, we've been in for the past 6 years and we'll be there at least 18 more months. That was caused by george bush.
I get tired of hearing the republicans whine about the bush tax cuts for the ultra rich when they took home $4Trillion.
I'm tired of hearing the republicans whining about Obama when they followed george bush like lap dogs.
But the republican candidate who didn't know anything about finance, who wanted to continue the bush ways wasn't elected because they were tired of the old ways.
So for the next year at least...at least...(just like I heard about Bill Clinton which I still hear about) the next year you're going to hear it.
Obama came in when the republicans couldn't muster up enough votes to get the country to continue policies and secrecies. Barack Obama with the help of the democrats in both houses will bring this country back around, dispite the republicans. Some will see good changes and some will fight tooth and nail against the Obama policies whether they help or hurt their own cinstuents, just to be defiant. Obama's chances of getting all he wants and in the amounts he wants is slim. But his ideas will still get pushed through. Less money then planned on maybe, but he'll get his changes through.
What's also scares the republicans to death, whatever changes he makes, the country will live with them and thrive. < :-)

Obama spent two years in the United States Senate. So he knew damn well what was going on. Excuses at this point are moot.

aday: you are such a groupie.
B4B: comparing clinton to this is not real man. Regan had done a lot for the country that helped Clinton. Notice, if you care to look, very few things were changed from Regan to Clinton. Bush Sr. is simply forgotten about and he too didn't have to move a muscle.
My point to aday's was that Obama and any dem can not use the "Remember now, he inherited this.." What they are doing is telling you that they themselves are not confident, so they want to make sure you got it in your head just in case.....
and of course, we have to go through the school yard fighting of my mommy is better than your mommy crap. Look, as long as you Shaprio, Dodd, Frank overseeing any type of oversight, we got a problem. Obama is not the problem, it is the masses around him that are the problem.
if we all really cared about a president knowing the do and don'ts of wall str. perhaps we should have forced Warren Buffet - at least he understands that no matter what person is in the seat of the president, the US economy, "if left alone" can run a good course.
So Aday, how much have you put in the market as of today?

No doubt, as Clinton had also done much for the country that put the Bush Jr. administration on a good footing - and look what he did with that. Clinton could have turned what was given him into a giant mess, as George Jr. has done. Hopefully Obama will be able to find the silk purse out of the sow's ear that has been given to him.
Your lack of confidence argument is also a deflection of the fact that many, too many Bushies refuse to own up to the mess left behind. Besides, confidence is what America had in spades back in the 80s and 90s. Anyone that confident today has to be on something because most people are scared, angry or both.

I'm sure Sailwind's stock portfolio will be climbing.
Good work Mr. President. :-)

sushi, what are you investing in?
If you really want to talk, talk to us who made money prior to 2006! Heck, right after 9-11 most of us made quite a bit.
"Besides, confidence is what America had in spades back in the 80s and 90s. Anyone that confident today has to be on something because most people are scared, angry or both."
Ok, yo now we are on the same page - I think.

skipthesong I am as supportive of Barack Obama like you were a supporter of george bush.
Our 401s along with the other $$$$ savings and investments have lost substantially. I retired and watched my 401 start dropping like a rock shortly after retiring. Luckily I'm now drawing any of my investments out and they will recover under Barack Obama, but what we lost and what we should have earned this past couple of years is lost.
Yeah, I've lost substantually skipthesong. Thanks to george bush and the corporate slime executives. < :-)
