No reports of casualties were immediately available, he said, but a U.S. military spokesman reportedly said there were no casualties among U.S. troops. Zabiullah Mujahid, a purported Taliban spokesman, claimed over the phone that all soldiers on board the helicopter died in the attack.
There seems to be a contridiction here. No deaths reported by the Pentagon and Iraqis on the ground say they all died. How many more have died and haven't been reported. < :-)

adaydrem - let me explain to you how the U.S.Military figures out casualities.
You see while the helicopter was in the air everyone is considered alive. But when the helicopter hits the ground then they can report everyone dead.
U.S. Military just reports casualties at first when helicopter is in the air. You see very simple.
