Ok then get rid of the millitants living amongst yourselves then and you wouldn't have to suffer this fate. You attract the drone strikes because you have sum living amongst you that for the most are supported by you. Birds of a feather flock together.
No sympathy for you at all!!

During the Vietnam war, this is what they called a 'fire-free zone' toward which 'protective reaction strikes' were directed. As a cartoon in the Stars & Stripes explained it back then, as opposed to an 'air raid', a protective reaction strike means 'never having to say you're sorry'. Different wars, same strategy (and probably same outcome).

The U.S. military should leave Pakistan and the Middle East. Let al-Qaida and the Taliban work out their difference with the Middle Eastern people. They are not going anywhere. The more al-Qaida and the Taliban lose their members there will be more people who will join them. The West is only digging a bigger hole that they can't get out of.

Quote: Some locals allege that the suspected U.S. drone strikes regularly kill innocents, while others say the missiles are accurate and most of the dead are militants or villagers knowingly harboring them.
Do they, or don't they? Some doubt, then?
Oh, and this bit about 'villagers knowingly harboring them'... stinks. They are often made an offer they can't refuse. If they refuse, they die. If they agree, they'll probably die anyway since the US justifies killing villagers who 'knowingly harbor' militants.
Er, hello...
There is a difference between 'knowingly' (quite possibly unwillingly) harbor and 'willingly' harbor...
The local villagers must live in fear of that knock on the door in the middle of the night.

Right so they should stand up to the millitants and kill them - that would be the option, The villagers just need to band together and be strong enough if they dont want it. But no they buckle to the scum so they have to pay the price which is get drones attacking their village.
I know it is not that easy but unless the locals do something then the scum will prevail.

There are bands of Lashkars, locals who fight back against the militants.
The militants probably do their homework and seek out stubborn lone wolves, or family men with farms who do not wish to get involved either way.

So then that is the problem isn't it, they need to get involved or dragged into it at the wrong end so STAND UP and fight the scum.

Suspected militants? Suspected by whom? The military? Would it be too much to ask a journalist not play the military's game and in the headline use the word "people" instead of militants? Does impartiality not pay enough?
