At least one local official supported the allied bombing, saying it would help drive the insurgents from the area.

    Pure and simple.

Lunchmeat... I suppose you would say the same thing if the US just killed EVERYONE in the area. It would get rid of the insurgents, wouldn't it?

Now, my next question is, would you feel safer then?

The stolen tankers could not have been allowed to fall into Taliban hands. They would have been used in attacks on Afghan government or NATO forces. The Germans did the right thing calling in the air strike.

US should have pullout out of afghanistan latest by 2016 or earlier, like in Iraq in 2010. The sooner the better.

US/EU soldiers should do their jobs, with 100 percent safety systems.

When there is enough afghan soldiers,to do the job,US/EU must pull out troops.

There is no nuclear weapons in Afghanistan,US/EU army should pull out of afghanistan. EU/US should just give more support to Islamabad administration.

Unneccessary loss of educated US/EU soldiers is not necessary and for what.

Afghanistan and Iraq must get richer and better via their own people unity/united work, the way vietnam did.
