"The last remaining Marines will be followed out by tens of thousands of soldiers in the coming months."

Thanks to the liberation of Iraq, which Obama was against, and the surge, which Obama said wouldn't work, U.S. forces are leaving an Iraq that's not ruled by an awful dictator and that doesn't seek WMD or threaten its neighbors.

Yep, just like the Japanese liberation of Indonesia. A job well done.

Welcome home, my Marine colleagues. Thank God for President of the United States of America Barack Hussein Obama who, unlike his opponents, supports your safe return to the US.

Just another of many campaign promises kept in excellent faith!

Sarge, not even you can keep a straight face at your latest. I guess you still believe the "Mission Accomplished" stunt was a great idea? It amazes me that a certain segment of Americans (read: right wingers) dig deeper into their denial and ignorance the more they are proven wrong on all counts. I wonder how many of your Marines died to keep a gallon of regular under 4 bucks? 5000? More?

    Get serious.

"Obama who, unlike his opponents, supports your safe return to the US"

Um, which of Obama's opponents doesn't support the orderly withdrawal of U.S. forces from a free Iraq? And some of them won't actually be returning to the U.S., Obama is sending some of them off to Afghanistan.

"Sarge, not even you can keep a straight face at your latest"

    I certainly can.

"I wonder how many of your Marines died to keep a gallon of gas of regular under 4 bucks?"

They died to preserve your freedom to say such ignorant things.

Problem is when the USA went off to conqure Iraq in just a few months to give the people democracy, to find & remove MWD they said they would be back to Afghanistan to clean up the mess.
Guess this is he future, a bit later then planned on, & more so then they had expected.

I'm glad that the Marines did their job. They didn't request to be thrust into a personal war for george bush, but they did their jobs in a mostly ethical, moral and professional manner.

I am just sorry for all the Marines who died senselessly for the pocketbooks of a few.

The war that was in retaliation of the attack of the World Trade Center was started rightfully was drastically deserted by george bush and dick cheney for $$$. Now that we have to go back and finish the war that was deserted by most republicans, it's an unpopular war and Obama's fault. Talk about lame, that lame thinking by republicans.

Welcome home Marines. Semper Fi. < :-)

Except that the security agreement to withdraw American troops was negotiated by the Bush administration after the success of the surge - which then Senator Barach Hussein Obama opposed.

The Marines have done a great job under very difficult conditions. With a Democrat as president, the American Left and their allies in the MSM are no long attacking our troops and undermining their mission as was done when Bush was president. When Dems are in power, they know that the military's success means that they will not be blamed for failure. It is good to see that Conservatives are supporting Obama's continuation of Bush's efforts in Iraq and Obama's new policy in Afghanistan.

Wolfpack, george bush was forced to work out the agreement because the Iraqi people were tired of his/our occupation. They were tired of his stay the course. The republicans fought it. John McCain and many other republicans wanted to stay in Iraq, up to 100 years if they deem so.

But Barack Obama promised that he'd get our troops out. While republicans promised they'd leave them there. Then when we're stuck in the war that was justified, they blame Barack Obama b ecause the end the war in Afghanistan, it's got to be escalated. Too bad bush drew out most of the troops and put them in Iraq.

The United States Marines have done a splendid job in Iraq. Except for a few screw-ups the Marines have gone in, done their job and continued to perform in the highest tradition of the Corps. < :-)
