Let them start it up, so the Israelis can take it down.

What a bizarre time this is for world diplomacy.
Everywhere you look, it is push me pull you.
US and Israel. Best of buds as ever, but with tons of protest and acrimony.
US and Russia. Rivals (Iran) but partners (START)
US and China. Butting heads (Tibet, Google) but mutually supportive (trade and T bonds)
Japan and China. Kind of getting along (projects, NKorea) but kind of not (island dispute, etc.)
I think we are entering this era of "inter-relation" in earnest. The world is getting smaller, which means that frictions are increasing, but nobody is stupid enough to really mess things up. It is different, and very interesting to watch. Everybody is barking, but no biting seems to be going on anywhere. Everywhere you look, all you see is pragmatism. It is kind of.... neat.
Look at this below. Conflict with Russians? Well yeah, but let's solve this other problem and we can be friends, no problem.
“Our goals remain the same,” Clinton said. “It is to relaunch negotiations between the Israelis and the Palestinians on a path that will lead to a two-state solution. Nothing has happened that in any way affects our commitment to pursuing that.”

We need to start building and refurbishing these nuclear power plants. We must save the World oil resources so America can steal it.

Why? Because Bibi Netanyahu says so? Obviously Lavrov doesn't buy that BS. Iran has a legal right, which it is pursuing through the NNPT and under IAEA inspections, to nuclear power for peaceful purposes. The USA has the duty, under section 4 of the NNPT to assist Iran, which it did when the Shah was in power. Let's remember three very pertinent fact in all of this: (1) The only country to ever use nuclear weapons on a civilian population is the USA. (2) The only Middle East entity with nuclear weapons not under the NNPT or IAEA inspection is israel, and they have threatened to use them, even against European capitals of nations with which it disagrees. (3) Iran hasn't attacked anyone nor threatened anyone for almost 300 years, unlike israel and the USA. (And please don't try to sandbag me with the "wipe israel off the map" deliberate misquote.) Even if Iran had plans for a nuclear weapon, who cares? Having one, and using one are very different. And given the stellar example of how Iraq was 'liberated' for not having a nuclear weapon, Iran has been very astute indeed by learning from that lesson. So, for that matter, have been Pakistan, India and even the DPRK.

What iranians do in their spare time it's their business. USA have it, and used it. Russia have it. China have it. Even Israel have it. Why they can't have it?
