I said it before and I'll say it again, send in the French commandos.

Well, they ain't going anywhere and they won't be unloading. So they get starved out.

Pirates will start murdering to stay alive.

They they all get taken out. Sad story, but bye bye pirates. < :-)

So now the Americans make sure that the Sudanese jihadist government gets its T72 tanks? One can`t make this up.

Agreed. I recommend this just after the Americans make a show of leaving. Then...le surprise pour monsieur le pirate!

I can neither confirm nor deny that statement, but I have a strong suspicion you are speaking out of an orifice normally reserved for other activities. --Cirroc

    "unknown buyers in Sudan"

I'll bet those are people I wouldn't want to invite over for dinner.

The Russians will be there in a few more days... They have their own commando's "SPETSNAZ" and they are quite capable and they don't play games with pirates or terrorist, even if they end up killing the crew as well...

The U.S. should follow their lead next time...

The Russian reputation is well known. I would prefer that if America were to blunder, she at least blunder in her own way. The Russians are just plain reckless. Killing the crew, or disco patrons even, is not acceptable. --Cirroc

It's not a u.s. problem... they're only doing the Russians a favor at this point as well as safeguarding international interests.

This maritime seafarers are well aware of the risks of sailing in that part of the world... This is not the QE2 on a vacation cruise loaded with hundreds of tourist... It's certainly unfortunate they got caught over there... Now do they reward these guys for their lawless conduct... I think not...

Hopefully whatever happens it will discourage piracy...

    " It's not a u.s. problem... "

Since it turned out that the T72 are going to the islamist government of Sudan, which will use them in their genocide against the infidels in the southern provinces in violation of UN resolutions, alas this is a US problem too. Except there is no good solution to it.

Thanks Sherlock. Next time you might consider the context of the post I was replying to. --Cirroc

ABSOLUTELY NOT SUDANESE. The writer should be ashamed to repeat such a glaring lie. Look at the map - Sudan has a seaport and the ship would be coming from the Black Sea. This means the ship would have docked before it reached the horn. Pathetic journalism is what this is.
