Canada needs to clean up their act.

But it costs something like 10,000 dollars to register and own a firearm. Are they going at it with hockey sticks?

Yes, what a mystery.

With anywhere from 90 to 150 thousand citizens involved in the growth, harvesting, transport and sale of BC's number one export, marijuana, traditional civic values are being eroded and the gangster tribe mentality is fast taking hold.

Mission Accomplished.

No, Canada doesn't have an immigration problem. Of course not.

Only criminals or gangs do NOT have to go through all the red tape & tests along with waiting periods of 7 ot 9 months before they have the right to purchase a legit h/gun, shotgun, to rifle to be use in target shooting at a certified gun range & to posibly use the shotgun or rifle for hunting but NOT the h/gun.

All have to be law abiding Cdn citizens that pay taxes. Said guns can only be carried in a locked case with trigger lock on said guns to the gun range & back again, with no sidetracks to a restaurant or a friends place.

The mint to be registered is the doing of the Federal Govt & THEIR expense in all the forms, to tests, to so much we must go through, but like the start A CRIMINAL OR A GANG member will not have ligit guns like us that obey the law fully.

I'm a bit concerned how "Mexicans" were pointed out in the article. While I am not defending those gangs that have caused a lot of problems, I wonder why other type have been left out of the article. I hear from some Canadians that say they also have a large Asian Gang problem

I'm concerned because I can easily be mistaken for a Mexican.

Always nice to see Vancouver mentioned on Japan Today, albeit gang wars. The Olympics people are concerned now. Time to round up the gangsters, panhandlers, druggies, homeless and squiggies and put them in internment camps.

i'm normally down on canada, but I actually think this is a good sign. the gangs are surfacing and getting caught due to the fight over drugs. this is a good thing to get over with before the olympics start.

Maybe Japan needs to have a few gang wars so they can secure the bid for the Olympics. We have plenty of drugs and guns so lets step it up a notch.

yaw silly.... something has to really be done as far as prevention, but this article speaks in favor of the powers that seek revenue from the economic boost it will generate with all that traffic in they area. Its all about money at the end of the day, nothings being done because its all profitable to the money makers, and they arent affected by it, and when they are or an individual in the family is affected they single out a single entertainer or demographic, its all numbers and a big game.....

No, Canada doesn't have an immigration problem. Of course not.

The leader of "Red Scorpions" is a white guy by the name of Jonathan Bacon and his two bothers and most of the Asians that are the gang are 2nd and 3rd generation children of refugee's(I went to school with some of them). The some what ironic thing is the Red Scorpions are at war with a gang called the "UN gang"
