Would have the Vatican condemned the abuses if it was known that priests used condoms?

Sounds like Cardinal Schoenborn would make a better Pope than Pope Benedict XVI (Joseph Ratzinger).

I can't believe the hypocrisy of the Catholic Church and the Pope. Bunch of hypocrites protecting child molesters and pedophiles. < :-)

So the Vatican is rebuking members going against their strange obsession of silencing and where possible hiding child sex predators in the clergy?

What a wierd and frankly offensive sect. Surely members should be outraged by the latest events?

well maybe not outraged if they really do consider discussions on priest celibacy-thatd be a big one. I dont understand how on both sides of the world is priests in flowing garbs, and none are even men. The nuns gave it a go didnt they. The should have chosen garb like that of Madonna's (the popstar) and maybe they coulda achieved more.....

And I cannot believe the utter irresponsibilty and groundlessness of your accusation. Or perhaps you could rattle off a list of at least five child molesters the church, with the knowledge of or by order of the Pope, protected, knowing full well they were child molesters. (I don't say anything about pedophiles because the charge of "protecting pedophiles" is patently insane.)

As I said before, people like you seem to think a man is a child molestor from the first accusation and seem to want a witch hunt.

    mist,

It is fact that some priests worldwide in the catholic church have sexually abused minors, often little children, and that their superiors have conspired to conceal and otherwise abet their criminal misconduct, often moving them about to avoid exposure where the offenders simply begin sexually-abusing a whole new crowd of youngsters.

I'm with Aday and Mad's perspective on this. The church has been passing the buck instead of handing the child molesters over to law enforcement along with testimony and evidence from the victims. I mean seriously!? One would think if someone is breaking a government LAW that they should be judged under that law instead of just pushing that person out of the church with no legal action taken and instead leaving that person to wash, rinse, and repeat their statutory rape over and over again.

Madverts, I note that you have failed to name the molesters as requested. Further, you have pretended to address my demand the Pope be proven to be involved, as recklessly asserted by Aday. Why are you wasting my time?

"Why are you wasting my time?"

You're wasting my time asking me to show you proof of what is documented fact of the Chruch's world-wide, systematic cover-up's and protection from above of individuals within the sect that have sexually abused children.

    Good luck defending these people.
