    They will never be able to adequately screen potential priest, we will get more of the same

    If the Catholic church is proposing screening people based on sexual orientation; i.e. homosexual, they will probably violate employment discrimination laws in darn near every country they operate in. The Vatican had better its members to pony up a bunch of money to pay for the discrimination law suits.

    Well its about time. Especially since no child's behind was left behind by their priests.

    “In all too many cases, psychological defects, sometimes of a pathological kind, reveal themselves only after ordination to the priesthood,” the guidelines said.

    I read that as sexually repressed, but otherwise normal man, is left alone with choir boys for years on end and starts to develop sexual affections for his charges that he never would have had if not for being plunged into some totally unnatural situations.

    But heaven forbid that the church blame itself for setting the stage.
