These people are just sick. The normal Pakistani has to be painted with the same brush and I am willing to bet they don't like being seen as the barbaric idiots that get the worlds attention with their idiocy.

Fitting that this beating took place in Swat Valley. I don't agree with it but it was nothing compared to a caning in Singapore. She was clothed and struck with a leather belt. It wasn't all that barbaric.

Sorry Patti, the rest of us aren’t really coinsurers of pain and humiliation. But hay, here’s and opportunity to educate us. If being beaten in public by an old man while other men hold you down isn’t barbaric than what, pray tell, is?

Is that more harsh than waterboarding?

This is just as barbaric as waterboarding. I'm not surprised after some of the other atrosoties that have been done lately by the Taliban. < :-)

Whats up with Pakistan. That place has gone rouge the last couple of months. Mind you they have a bomb and receive money from the states.
I almost forgot about Iraq with all the love out of Pakistan.

I don´t know what the Brouhaha is about. They agreed to Shariah in the Svat valley, now they got Shariah in the Svat valley.
What did they think? That Shariah does not mean Shariah? Of course not. This fake outrage is just a PR exercise for the Western politicians.

Pakistan tried to negoiate with the Taliban. I was worried about this disaster when they started talking. I make an optomistic post or two hoping that there were actually moderates being talked to. What I hoped for will never come to fruition.
We will always have to be looking behind us for the Taliban to make terrorists acts againsts us. There are peace loving Muslims and there are those who love their own personal hate. < :-)
