So rather than downsize an industry that causes mass death and displacement around the world, they want to expand wars so they can keep profiting?

Exactly. There seems a strong business link between the Finaces and the funerals

Recorded history, in it's entirety, only has 13 documented years of peace. Conflict is not new to humanity, nor is it likely to become a stranger anytime in the near future.

Business is booming, Not! Unfortunately for Murder Inc. the slowdown in the economy has coincided with the US installing a socialist in the Whitehouse (lol). As such, whereas in the past politicians could be "encouraged" to start wars in places as diverse as Africa and the Middle East (who cares how many of them we kill?), these days the business opportunities are just not there.
Moreover, things are only going to get worse. What will happen to these companies if there is actual legal reform in the US in terms of gun control legislation. For example, the news could only be bad if the Supreme Court decides that equipping your four year old with the latest grenade launcher falls somewhat outside the constitutional right to bear arms.
All in all, this doom and gloom is enough to make you want to put a gun to your head - now there is a business opportunity!!!!

Sure Den, why don't you go and personally deliver all the pink slips that downsizing would require? These are businesses idiot. If they have the capacity, and its legal, then the people running them have an obligation to do so in a way that is profitable. Or are you as clueless about business as you are about politics?

Molenir - "These are businesses idiot."
It seems ethics, accountability and common sense are not on your mental radar screen, in fact, not even close.

The financial war machine must move ahead at all costs. =without war the defacto cannot stay in power.
Who will it be next Iran or NK? Who has the natural resources -not NK. Expect some African conflicts since they are resource rich.

Expect some African conflicts" Oh, I'm sorry. I must have missed something, you mean there aren't already any African conflicts?

lol, ethics takes a backseat, when kids are starving. You are talking about putting a lot of people out of work, like its nothing. What I'm saying, is that as long as its legal, and it is legal, then the people running these businesses, have a responsibility, to their stockholders, as well as those who work for them, to do their best to sell their products. Even if those products are guns. If you really don't like it, as congress to change the laws. Is that really so hard to understand?
