Hey, my shoes are pretty worn-out, I could really use a new pair, but some other unexpected expenses came up, and I really don't have the money for a new pair of shoes right now... oh, sure, I could just dip into savings, but the savings is for the future...

Madverts, I hope you enjoyed your beers. I am having a beer tasting party tonight as part of a Christmas celebration with a Chinese family. This will be their first Christmas. They had never even heard of turkey and the Mrs. does a wonderful bird, so I'm looking forward to showing them a traditional western Christmas. The house is all decked out. I represented the block rather well with our lights and we have a gorgeous 8' tree this year. A docket of Christmas movies on hand as well. I think our Chinese friends are going to enjoy their first Christmas. Oh Yeah, 6 different flavors of Leinenkugel beer (REALLY good former regional beer from Wisconsin) for them to sample also (but no Summer Shandy, best beer ever made).
