the message the strategy sends to allies is that the U.S. does not want to be involved if the going gets too expensive

What if war was just too expensive altogether for everyone, and we had to settle for world peace? Fortunately, war is still reasonably priced and we can continue to blow each other up.

Nah, the terrorists always get funded somehow.

So much for the policy of ignoring intelligence until we are attacked, followed by an invasion of the wrong country. Boy, will I miss that policy.

    "War is big business."

So is medicine. You can wish war and violence away with about as much success as wishing away disease and old age.

Hey, give Bill Clinton a break!

"... followed by an invasion of the wrong country"

But even President Obama said Afghanistan is "the right war."

“The United States of America does not torture,” Brennan said, “and it’s why he (Obama) banned the use of enhanced interrogation techniques, which did not work. “

So the US used to torture it just doesnt anymore right?

Yeah when was the last attack on a US embassy? Or for that matter the last terrorist attack on a navy ship? Yeah thats definately a reason to still be killing people after all its only been 3 years since the last attack on and embassy and 11 years since the last attack on a navy ship

And it had been nearly 10 years since the attacks on New York, Washington D C and Pennsylvania, and, incredibly, the U.S. saw fit to kill Osama bin Laden.

Yep and that was one man who was being hunted for the crimes he commited. Bit different than invading and occupying a country for something that happened years ago that they werent even involved in?

You mean liberating a country and allowing for free elections.Or are you going to try to tell me Iraq is occupied by 50 thousand US troops? And no one said Iraq was chosen for regime change because of 9-11. Get some facts before posting - the plan to liberate Iraq was a Clinton proposal.

Hilarious, free elections thats the funniest thing lve heard in years. A rigged election, the US refusing to allow people to run in the election. Yep that sounds free to me.

Or are you going to try to tell me Iraq is occupied by 50 thousand US troops?

    Nope only 45,000

And no one said Iraq was chosen for regime change because of 9-11. Get some facts before posting - the plan to liberate Iraq was a Clinton proposal.

And where exactly did l mention Iraq? Please read posts before remarking on them
