London air is not good for anyone.

And sympathy is to be found in the dictionary somwhere between shit and syphilis, Julian. We're all real sorry this is how your reality show turned out....

Absolute disgrace the way this guys own government has wiped its hands of him all because he upset number one ally in the US

Hasn't anyone told him that the air is much better in Sweden?

Lung's Weaky Leaked.

Yeah USN like he would be in Sweden long enough to get better. I bet his butt wouldn't even hit the ground and the US would get their grubby claws into him and he would be off to one of their wonderful hotel resorts that they send people that annoy the US to....

Maybe he will shut up and give his lungs a rest. Arrogant, self opinionated hypocrite that he is. He and Ecuador desrve each other.

As it's obvious in some of these comments, attacking and insulting the character of a person is the best cop out. Rather than, you know, discuss his ideas or what he does with reason. Sadly, ad hominem attacks have always worked, and people of every walk of life uses them, including whole governments.

" Sadly, ad hominem attacks have always worked, and people of every walk of life use them, including whole governments."

This is how the anti-free-speech regimes and the minions operate.

I would never attack the character of a person evading rape charges.

Many people around the world found his agenda interesting and refreshing. They also discovered some serious holes in his humanity and his actions.

He said that if informers were named and fingered and taken out by the Taliban, it was their fault for cooperating with the US in Afghanistan. He has made a horrible series of unpredictable and illegal moves, which have alienated even his closest supporters, thereby digging his own hole.

In order to regain the moral highground he needs to address the messy trail he has left behind him, instead of constantly ignoring it and changing the subject. Or is he just another politician, living by different rules than the rest of us?

The UK would have extradited Assange to the US had the Americans demanded it, they hardly need the Swedes in the matter.

Cry all you like for the demise of Jules's personal ME ME ME Reality show, I can't believe some of you are still duped into beliveing the egocentric quest that ground to a halt in an embassy the size of my kitchen was some sort of a quest for truth. The leaks he gave were no "revelations", he just violated every diplomatic code that ever existed to get attention and hung out the autistic fool that was stupid enough to downloaded the files.

I quite like the thought of Jules's life being a misery, even if this health angle us probably nothing more than a ruse to get his ass out of the sling. The Brits are never going to let him get out of his self-made quagmire.

He isn't charged with rape. Check your facts properly.

nandakandamanda: In order to regain the moral highground he needs to address the messy trail he has left behind him, instead of constantly ignoring it and changing the subject.

That's a good way of putting it. I never understood why he didn't try to accomplish his goals without all of the collateral damage. He just seems like he doesn't care, or that he thinks he can use his position to get away with anything he wants.

There are still two women in Sweden waiting for their day in court. Assange fled Sweden because he doesn't believe Swedish law applies to him. Assange is hiding in the Ecuador embassy because he doesn't believe British laws should apply to him. Australia refuses to life a finger to defend an alleged rapist. Assange wasn't representing Australia when he was letting his willy wander around Sweden. Assange can go back to Sweden and straighten out his legal problems on his own. The U.S. is not seeking Assange's extradition and Assange's claim that they are/will are simply a red herring to avoid having to face the women he violated.

arrestpaul's comment is not ad hominem. It is a statement of facts. Now, would Mr Assange please address them.
