How dare you call Putin a thug? He is one of the wisest leader this planet has ever had. Wishing him a lot of success in this venture.

Foxie, The Presidential election has been decided before the election. The opposition parties are in jail. Anyone who is in his way is in jail. Now he is going to China who does not the high price of Russian gas. Wonder what he and his thugs have to say to China?

Europeans have been screwed by Putin, just as the Poles and others, that when they complained about the HIGH gas prices, PUTIN say, ok screw you all and CUT OFF THE GAS in the MIDDLE of WINTER, so I guess the Chinese do not want to be that stupid to let themselves be at the mercy of Russians, right??

Elbuda Mexicano, they are setting themselves up for a fall. Why do they expect better from the Russians than the Europeans? Thugs do not respect thugs, so they might as well play hardball with Putin and his thugs.

Depends on if the Russians like him or not in the end though. From the rumours I hear, the Russians love him and want him in office. All leaders are in charge of putting their own country first, its just that Putin has shown how much he's willing to put the screws to other countries in order to take care of his own. Sure he's not the only one thats done this, its just that the system in Russia is appearing more and more fixed for a sneaky dictatorship than and democracy for Russia.
