My first big laugh of the morning.

Thank you for providing mine.

RIP Mr. Nemtsov.

Either she really didn't see the gunman or she's taking the position of people in the past who witnessed Mafia hits. And I wouldn't blame her at all because she knows she could end up meeting the same fate as Nemtsov. There have already been leaks by Russian authorities of her possible involvement and she has been prevented from leaving the country.

Of course they are going after the foreign angle. It's Russia.

heading for Nemtsov’s apartment

His or her apartment? Where his wife live? She must be scared now.

Let's see now, who would possibly benefit by causing a ruckus that could possibly destabilize Russia or at least tarnish Putin's West-battered reputation? Must be Wile E. Coyote!

Crucial CCTV cameras situated on and around the Moskvoretsky bridge allegedly were "down for maintenance". Cameras that potentially could have provided evidence to the identity of the assassins, there means of escape, and key elements in the implementation and planning of Nemtsov’s murder. What will now never be made public is the "material and clear evidence" of direct Russian government and security service involvement in Ukraine. A powerful and convincing motive for Nemtsov’s dramatic and untimely death.

Although President Putin may have not been directly involved with this blatantly grotesque public outrage, Nemtsov’s death provides further evidence to the massive level of greed and corruption that reaches the highest echelons of government. What it is truly frightening and alarming is that these elements can operate with impunity, eliminating anyone without fear of prosecution.

Is Duritskaya afraid they gonna pin it on her as an Ukrainian citizen? This was at one of the most guarded section of Moscow, a couple days before a big opposition rally, Nemtsov would be on 24/7 state surveillance. Who would even think, with all that, they could get away with it there? Any possible scenario should not be discounted from investigations, including agents foreign and domestic. To exclude something so early in the investigations would be negligent.

Chechnya’s Moscow-backed strongman, Ramzan Kadyrov, openly blamed Western special services.

Kadyrov, aren't ya gonna allow Chechnyans to vote whether they want a separate state or not?

“It was made for a picture: a prominent Russian opposition leader lying dead with the Kremlin stars and St. Basil’s Cathedral as the backdrop.”

Exactly ! And It was made for international TV channels. Great job ! Like in Hollywood movie !

Nemtsov’s killing was the biggest political assassination in Russia since another Kremlin foe, journalist Anna Politkovskaya, was shot to death in the elevator of her Moscow apartment building on Putin’s birthday in 2006.

It's really dangerous to be in opposition in Russia

Because of this - Mr Navalny demonstratively broke the law and go to prison for 15 days JUST BEFORE Mr Nemtsov assassination.....

They need fresh blood and this blood can be your's....

..poor sacrificial lambs of democracy....

What else can she say at this moment under 24/7 ironclad of Putin's gangs? The issue is the death of democracy in Russia under Putin dictatorship who makes a mockery to the world. Poor mother Russia, where is she going????

A married man with 4 kids spends his Friday night with a foreign model who's 32 years younger than him, young enough to be his daughter.

Ask his wife and kids what they think about that.

Completely irrelevant as to whether he loved his country, and whether he was an opponent to corruption.

Such an American way of thinking.

Boris Nemtsov premeditated murder was as much a preemptive measure to protect information that would have far greater implications for Russian Federation political stability had this been divulged or broadcast. The manner of Boris Nemtsov assassination serves a duel purpose to send out a unequivocal warning to the sources that provided the information of the consequences.

Some CIA , Jason Bourne, meets mission impossible, with a dash of Mr and Mrs Smith, add a smigin of John Wick committing a 007 in full view of the Kremlin is comedy gold. Next Moscow will be announcing without a touch of irony and a straight face a Pentagon T-800 terminator could be running amok.

Sure, sure. I just remembered how general Petraeus was sacked. Tell to him that affairs are irrelevant, that "such an American way of thinking".

To follow the David Petraeus analogy to its conclusion, let us know when Nemtsov gets a cushy university position to supplement his general's pension. Equivalent happy endings?

Maybe investigators are checking bank account of his political allies? Big withdrawing before this killing. Her bank account, too.

Not the same thing though is it. Petraeus gave his mistress state secrets. This most definitely should be punished.
