So many gullible fools.

"Worldwide", but protests of a few thousands in a population approaching 8 billion.

AFP: The last attempt to forge a global deal—the ill-tempered 2009 Copenhagen summit

Hahaha, don't you mean the frozen-over Copenhagen summit?

"The goal is to limit average global warming to two degrees Celsius, perhaps less, over pre-Industrial Revolution levels..."

Have they consulted Mother Nature on this?

"... by curbing fossil fuel emissions blamed for climate change."

Nah, apparently Mother Nature doesn't have much to do with climate change.

So many gullible fools. "Worldwide", but protests of a few thousands in a population approaching 8 billion. Rent a Crowd.

. . .Good comments. These "Tree Huggers" are so annoying. Like rainbow, unicorn, hobos and floating castle worshipers.

Can we humans even change the climate? Other than deforestation which is an air scrubber I'm not sure we can.

I am astounded by the number of people who are ignorant by choice, posters above, who apparently have no understanding of nature or of science. It shouldn't take a genius to understand that billions of tons of carbon pumped into the atmosphere is going to cause an adverse effect. The people in the pictures are there to try to stop climate change, which those of us who have been paying attention for the past 10, 20 or 30 years have seen for ourselves has caused terrible effects. Scientific measurement world wide has measured that the effects predicted have happened on an accelerated rate. Islands are close to being submerged, glaciers are melting, animal species have become extinct. If you still don;t understand it, look online, and buy some books. This is not new, and it is not a political issue. This is and will affect the entire world, and yes, by using renewable energy and not polluting, we can stop the accelerated effects and there are many ways people can help, in addition to planting trees, but our leaders at the Climate Change Conference have the power to stop climate change.

Because it's not and it hasn't and it won't be.

Biased models, conspiracy to thwart honest peer review, "the Pause", no submerged islands, faked 97 percent consensus, multimillionaire climate agitators such as Al Gore, David Suzuki, et. al., dronespiekers in lockstep in government and research and media, massive carbon footprints of climate conferences and organizations without irony, etc., etc., etc.

I am astounded that soo many people have fallen for the global warming lie. They must not have done their home work

As compared to those who believe any old BS they read by hacks on the internet who are defending the status quo, so the rich can stay rich at the expense of our planet.

Strangerland has not studied carefully. The rich will get way richer from their Paris talks than without. They will find a way to tax and control every one in the name of saving the planet that, although would be better to make clean, but does not need climate control.

scoobydoo: Strangerland has not studied carefully.

For the vast majority it's easier to have the random Science Page reporters and choice of politicians do the 'studying' for them.
