But...it was a WWII vintage branch, so there is that.

Interesting. I would like a pic plz.

I bet that would get more on e-bay than the corn flake shaped like Illinois did!

I feel like I got scammed! hahaha.... glad it wasn't a body, of course, but you'd think they would have checked a little more thoroughly before the announcement.

I remember when I was young we'd speculate whether there were Japanese soldiers still on small islands somewhere that still thought the war was being fought. When this story first came out I remember those young speculations. < :-)

Adaydream - those speculations were true!!

Jeepers, don't Aussies know how to use binoculars? Or maybe the guides were cocking a snook at the lot of them.

Well, I wonder how much this little expedition cost?

  • sdmsec at 03:50 AM JST - 6th September

    This is a cover-up.

Those hikers weren't so dumb as to mistake a limb for skeletal remains. And yes they did use my binoculars. See www.investigate.com/pacific/hikers_discovery.html.

It was really the decomposing body of an extra-terrestrial base jumper. (It's a well-known fact that they love to base jump from their disc-shaped star craft.

Just watch and see if Australia doesn't emerge over the next few years as the next empire.

sdmsec...I think you are on to something. But I thought it was Big Foot that was well-known for base jumping from extra-terrestrial dis-shaped star craft?

  • sdmsec at 04:23 AM JST - 6th September

    he he

No contradictions here. Big Foot = extra-terrestrial.
