Serviced apartments can sometimes seem like cookie-cutter copies of rooms you’ve stayed at in the past. White walls, plain linens and conservative furnishing may not match the trip you had planned in Tokyo. Instead, a room with a glass encased bath area might be more fitting to enjoy your Tokyo evenings—especially since the view from the bathroom exceeds the view of most other serviced apartments.

In one of the rooms in the East Tower of Fraser Place howff Shinjuku, guests can fully appreciate the Japanese custom of placing the bath and shower area in a separate room from the toilet. A glass-walled bath area is placed as a centerpiece in one of the rooms, so you can look out at the Shinjuku skyline from your bath. “This is the unique thing about this particular property, because not every Fraser has designer units. And you're very safe here. Turn off the lights have a glass of champagne and soak in there. Enjoy the view,” said Esther Wai, the general manager of Fraser Place Shinjuku.

The wall-to-wall windows at Fraser Place take advantage of the convenient placement of Fraser Place’s East and West Towers, but the location of this building has many advantages. Guests are a 15-minute walk from Shinjuku station, which is close enough to get around Tokyo quickly but far enough away to enjoy the view from your bath without the worry of being seen. Of course, curtains are available to block out the city on nights when bathing is less of an event.

The location of Fraser is not only convenient because of its closeness to Shinjuku, but attached to the building is a 24-hour Tesco. “The 24 hour supermarket is so welcome because you don't have to walk far to get your groceries. In the middle of the night, if you run out of butter or you need a bento, it is so easy to get it there. Eating around here is good fun as well. There’s an excellent Thai restaurant hidden in one of the lanes,” Wai added.
