I do wish people would stop ascribing everything to the people involved here being Japanese.

There are just as many doctors involved in cases like this in the UK (maybe more). It has a lot more to do with men who are unable to resist the temptations of abusing positions of trust and power (in any culture).

And the British professional bodies have just as much a tradition of covering up and protecting such people...

 

To be able to climb the tips of the mountains and goes through the valley of the dark forest....

And keeping photos of such adventure as memorial....Urayamashi ne!

Yet there is a day where the adventurer will fall from the mountain and drown in the valley of dark forest...the Tokyo doctor is such an adventurer...

This is what happens when you have lax attitudes towards ethics and moral character in society. They learn this from early on.

 

15 years ago I worked at a jr high school - the 91-year-old (I'm not making that up) "school doctor" checked each of the 900 students each April nude from the waist up using examination techniques that were deemed antiquated in 1949.

I protested (only out of envy)but to no avail. he continued in that position 3 more years and then died - what a life!
