The DPRK is just having an extended hissy fit as it tries to get what it wants from the US. If it causes consternation in Japan and the ROK, so much the better. Think of it as a 2-year-old having a tantrum in the supermarket.

zaichik...I agree. I usually don't like the Hiroshima wallowing in victimhood thing, especially by people who did not experience the bombings. But in this case I support the sufferers protest as they and they alone know of what they speak.

Having nuclear weapons would be completely fine if North Korea was a stable democracy. However, nukes in the hands of tyrannical dictators is never a good thing. I pray that the North Korean people will one day be free and happy.

If Megumi is alive, I wouldn't be surprised if she was strapped to the bomb itself...

Is that an analogy of your thoughts on your nation?

Cute that a mayor from the most muderous nation in history should have a problem with this little test. Especially when said nation is armed to the teeth and raring to go.

What's wrong all you pacifits? You're mad at poor little old NK now?
Maybe if you hadn't protested the U.S. military so much and weakened her prescense in Japan so much by your looney-left protests, NK would not have conducted the test.
Maybe if you would realize that the only defense is a strong offense, you wouldn't be in this mess.
When an enemy perceives weakness, that is when they bolster their own strength in order for an attack.
NK and China smell blood and they are moving in for the kill in Japan. You had better rearm to the teeth and fast if you want to live.
With this disarmament going on in the west and the continued buildup in China and NK it's not hard to figure out what the next act will be.
What we need is another Ronald Reagan who will rebuild the west's military. Overwhelming force - that's where it's at.

Many of these people are in fact, Communist spies from China and NK. They ran the U.S. Military out of Japan with their protests, now they are afraid Japan will rearm which will mean China and NK cannot tip the balance of power in their favor.
Run the military out of Japan and do nothing about the threats in NK and China and now wonder why the world is facing a nuclear crisis.
As I've said many times on this post, the only way to deal with people like NK is to surgially airstrike their military facilities BEFORE they gain the nuclear launch capability. Once they have the weapons in place and can use them, it's too late.

That's precisely why the US needs to get with the program and take nuclear disarmament seriously.

Nuclear disarmement is a Communist goal. Has been since 1958 at least.
http://www.uhuh.com/nwo/communism/comgoals.htm3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
