You forgot to add, if they survive carbombs, rapes by policemen, shootings at checkpoints by American soldiers, Shia and Sunni death squads and random kidnappings for ransom.

Smith - "illegal invasion"

Is this the illegal invasion which has removed from power a ruthless dictator who was running Iraq into the ground from his many luxurious palaces, and allowed for a freely elected government which is not threatening anyone with WMD?
Checking...
Yeah, it is!

proxy - "how will they be able to evacuate everyone from the green zone?"

There isn't going to be any evacuation. Some years from now, though, there will be a withdrawal of U.S. troops from a free Iraq.

Like they withdrew from a 'Free Vietnam'

Moderator: Stay on topic please. Vietnam is not relevant to this discussion.

Yeah, it is!"

Please tell me how many more have died since the illegal invasion which 'ousted a dictator' (and, and which has others lining up for the job despite recent "surges" and "plans" (again, failure). Compared to how things are now, it was a picnic during Saddam's reign. And before you try something like, "What about the kurds?" let me ask you how many Kurds were killed by a US bomb the other day?

Seriously, though, your cut and paste gets funnier and funnier as things get more and more out of control. I wonder how you're going to defend the illegal invasion when the full blown civil war leads to worse dictators than Saddam. I'm sure it'll be, "Well *chortle*, well *sucking back tears*, we removed a dictator from power...*sniff*". Just don't put that hand mirror down on the train when you tell yourself this every morning as part of your daily affirmations.

Yes, as Marie Antoinette once said: "If the people don't have bread to eat, let them eat a freely elected government".

These guys aren't stupid...

they adapt, they watch, they get better and better. But we're winning.

But we're going to stay till the insurgents lay down their weapons. If that's the care my grandchildren who are at most 10 years old will be deploying to Iraq before the insurgents quit.

They are looking for more chlorine tankers and more RPG and anything else they can use.

Eight helicopters ain't nothing. They have figured how to knock them out of the air. Now the fun really begins. <:-)

Imagine that

Yes, as Marie Antoinette once said: "If the people don't have bread to eat, let them eat a freely elected government".

There's already a Burger King in Baghdad.

Three more U.S. troops have died in gun battles in Iraq, the military said, bringing to 3,142 the number of fatalities in Iraq since the March 2003 invasion, according to Pentagon figures.

Denmark:
Cause of Death Total Percentage
Hostile fire 5 83.3%
Non-combat related 1 16.7%
Total 6

More than Australia.

A tanker truck carrying chlorine exploded in the west of the city, killing two people, wounding seven and leaving 35 others sick from the effects of the toxic gas, security and medical sources said.

They're calling this a "dirty bomb." That's WMD.

"There's already a Burger King in Baghdad."

That explains the dead bodies lying in the streets.

"They're calling this a "dirty bomb." That's WMD."

WMD in Iraq?? Well, there's a first time for everything...

And just like...

the WMD that Iraq had before, we supplied this chlorine/WMD, also.

These insurgents are getting wiser and wiser each and every day. This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to retaliation against the US.

Copters...we knew that in time they would figure this out. It doesn't take a lot to bring down a copter. <:-)

"Seriously though, your cut and paste gets funnier and funnier as things get more and more out of control"

"There has been a significant reduction in sectarian incidents and extra-judicial killings in Baghdad"

- Major General William Caldwell

Hmm, your assessment of the situation differs from General Caldwell's. I think maybe the general has it right.

And speaking of (cough) "justification"

I wonder where these "insurgents" got the chlorine bomb idea from.

Rhetorically yours,

It seems an invariable pattern that whenever american trops get themselves into a war, they adapt slower than the other side in every instance. Wait a few weeks; soon every single helicopter they field will be shot down. The command stupidity here is unbelievable.
