Arigatou, Osewa ni nari mashita, ganbatte kuda sai, these
are standard j-custom expressions, not worthy of news, atleast
not under 'politics' coloumn.

suicide is a losers way out.
With record suicide's happening here in Japan, the government should take steps to stop this rude behavior.

1) Pass a law that says "Insurance companies need NOT pay premiums on suicide claims"
2) Provide "telephone numbers" for support centers. A place someone feeling alone can call to get help.
3) Teach people to see the warning symptoms (as well as we can)
4) Teach from an early age that "suicide" is not a way out and it places additional burdens on the family.

This guy might or might not have done it. We still will find out.

What a looser "suicide" it's not a way out.

Like they would ever release the letters to the public anyway??? And of course, Abe wouldn't lie about this stuff.

and a lot less Samurai ... the prevailing 'cult of the samurai' is such a trash model for anyone living their life, lest you be a member of the military. Hey, Japan's not a militaristic nation anymore, right?

So dump the suicide option, please, government leaders, company presidents, teachers and parents ... it's so NOT the way to be an adult, functioning member of society. And what a horrible example for all the little children.

Get a bit more spiritual and a little less 'shameful' . The samurai are all dead - that doesn't mean you have to follow them into the flames.

Who said that? Ishihara? That is total cr@p.

This guy hung himself. He did not gut himself with a knife. That would be a lot tougher. I am sorry to his family, but it is never so bad you need to kill yourself.

suicide is a losers way out.

Nice mantra. Unfortunately it ignores the things suicide can accomplish besides just an escape. It falls short of seeing the whole picture.

Abe also dismissed speculation that he or the government had pressured Matsuoka not to reveal details about the scandals.

Yeah, they would never do that. They would not even think of providing the rope either, or a nice team of specialists to assist with the letter writing, etc. That is because politicians care more for duty and truth than their own reputations, power base, and the lives of others. /sarcasm
