Crown prince undergoes surgery for polyp removal

Am I the only one who doesn't want to read about this? That's like announcing Koizumi's got a sudden rash on his butt, we don't want to know! I don't even know what polyps are, but it sounds gross.

 

What kind of health insurance coverage does he have?

Why aren't there any pictures? Big news story like this and no pictures.

 

A polyp is just an abmormal, spurious growth, like a wart. And the duodenum isn't such a gross location - it's where the stomach and small intestine meet.

You can bet there were pictures, mousepotato - I doubt they diagnosed this thing with an MRI. They probably went in with an endoscope and had plenty of pictures, which have since been deleted.
