finally japan is catching up with global standards
I thought actions like that were illegal for corporations? The value of their products does not change depending on location, it's still the same food. These random business practices confuse me.You have a pretty naieve view of economics. Urban costs are higher because rents are higher. So prices must be higher. Otherwise, they might be accused of predatory pricing (i.e., undercutting foes to secure market share).

I don't mind higher prices -- actually it's a good thing. But I wish they'd make the set choices more flexible and improve their buns.
Why do you think I live in Gunma? It's much cheaper out here, our city of Isesaki has been on TV for having the lowest cost of living.
Frac you guys living in cities.

So now McD's in the cities where costs are higher will still make a profit, while the McD's out in the sticks where costs are lower won't be overcharging customers.
ppayne - "Why do you think I live in Gunma?"
That's where your company is?

Mac thinks they can get as much money as possible out of our pockets.
Now we do not buy the Mac. We will let them know we are not dumb as they thought we were. Or else..
Better not say that too loud, everyone will move there and the cost of living will skyrocket...
I understand why McD is doing this, but with BK coming into Tokyo, and preparing to expand, this may not be the best time to do it.

but i wanna buy my mac! Will I undermine your rebellion?
"I wanna buy my mac"
You need a Big Mac like you need a hole in the head.
Head to the nearest kaiten sushi for a good quick meal.
agree about the buns. My girlfriend's got a real nice set of buns to play with but Mac's certaintly leave a lot to be desired.
Is it worth paying the increase for a heart attack burger?? Only if you're in a hurry and there's nothing better at the time,I guess.

One price for urban victims of their endless advertising campaigns and another for those in waht is left of the countryside that McDonalds corporate global warming denier allies in big business havent raped and destroyed.
Really did their homework. Tactics like this havent been used since before the Dark Ages. This is a corporation that even the Roman Empire would have recoiled from.
