If you could have a short conversation with the Dalai Lama, what would you say? This uless one may get that chance.

It would be sweet if opposition party members of the Diet could invite him to a Minshuto convention and make him denounce LDP members visiting Yasukuni to worship Class A war criminals (see London Charter definitions) and how we must all respect other nation's sovereignty.
CCP hypocrisy exposure FTW

to hear all the pissing and moaning coming from China. But if the Lama trashes the LDP for visiting Yasukuni can the Chinese really trash Japan for letting him visit? Wouldn't they have to thank the Lama for seeing their side of things?
Holy confusion, Batman!

Sure the Chinese will love to allow the Lama condemn Yasukuni visits if they want to be equated with Japanese war criminals.
It's kind of like a famed crippled firearms victim condemning narcotics-dealers.

What if Ozawa then says the Japanese who supported the Iraq War are those who visit Yasukuni or indifferent about the visits.
I wonder how the Lama would react to that in light of his recent US visit. Then again, the Congressional Gold Medal, as the name suggests is bestowed by the Democrat controlled House and Senate that opposed the war so it's all good!

The Dalai Lamer is an unimportant and useless as a pope and hardly deserves a headline. He had a great chance to give Bush the threashing of his life when they met but he did not do it. For shame.

China must be having a hissy fit since almost all global government leaders just seem to love the guy inspite of all the griping of the CCP... I guess it's hard to hate him when most of the free world doesn't have to deal with censorship or search engine filters automatically sending you to propaganda central.

Dalai Lama as useless as the Pope? For a man of enlightenment, is it his place to threash (whatever that means?)Bush? Maybe you missed his giggling during his speeches (utube). Who do think he has laughing at?

At heart, I think the Dalai Lama is a good man. He's very selective
in his presentation of Tibet as some sort of Shangrila however and there
are many, many dissatisfied Westerners all too ready to grab at the mysticism
that this form of buddhism offers.

The Dalai Lama is not on your political agenda and does not need your respect either, fortunately. He won't be anyone's puppet, especially not those with your convictions I would think.

not to be important, seems China thinks different.
Or is it what he stands for or in the way of, such as China's right to suppress Tibetens and their way of life, oh yes, the typical Communists of China , even when they did the same with their own people, Wow, I guess the communists really hates it when the free world puts more support in him than they can trust the Chinese leaders... Pretty strange some thinks the importance of him is something of nothing while China cries and condems those that see him as the face of Tibet and the rights China has tucked far far away as if Tibet was the same as China while the Dalai Lama wants to see different for his people that are treated as if they are of China itself...What a pitty China's leaders can not understand the wrongs they have done and are doing even within their own country and to their own people.. What a pitty!
But the great concern of China over the Dalai Lama's visits and acceptance by others around the world, just shows his importance and the meaning CHina just grits its teeth about!!
