Raises the question: How many foreign terrorists' fingerprints can dance on a pin.

It's fear,FEAR,
FEAR, I tell you!! Remind everyone to be afraid. We must NOT forget to be afraid - much harder to ram through backward policies if you aren't afraid, you see. That is the PINnacle of most politicians' careers these days.

better safe than sorry . Pins can carry large amounts of 'explosives' or 'sharpness' that can be dangerous to passengers. I mean,,after all,, they can jab you in the ass and make you very very annoyed. so much that you'd want to rip a train and it's occupants apart..... now get real you idiot depts.!!!!!!!!!!!!

or do I take this at face value. They evacuated a train because someone found a pin sticking out of the seat? Was this a magic exploding pin? This is the height of overreaction, I'm amazed they didn't stop all the trains on this line.

This is the second time they have found a needle (the last one was last month)(縫い針probably not a pin but a sewing needle) and this one follows on from the box cutter incident last week.
This is a typical way for a Japanese person with a grudge to attack a company. Very small, but very effective as it causes huge embarrassment to the company and effects their income directly as the rumours spread. It could be they are being blackmailed at the same time behind the scenes.

here's a crazy idea, pull it out!
Are willing to possibly risk your health to pull a pin which could be a used hypodermic needle out of a seat? If I have a doubt about what I see, I would have acted the same way. If he had acted any other way he would have been stupid or negligent to not raise the alarm.

It's good this happened you can never be too carefull in these days.
The people who are sarcastic here are always the first to bigmouth when something bad really happens.
My train was stopped on the Sapporo Subway this lunchtime - and old woman found a pin on her seat between Odori Station and Shiroishi. In the last car.
Interestingly...she waited calmly until she got off to tell the train staff, and then they rushed around talking on their radios and picked up the pin.
Then they made us all get off and stand on the platform for 3 minutes, then they shouted up and down for the old woman - but she'd gone off home...
then we all got back on the train and went on to Shin Sapporo.
I'm pinning it all on the old woman...
