| Defense Minister Ishiba troubled by legal issues if UFOs arrive | |

What a joke and a waste of time and money. Legally they should treat them exactly like a foreigner from any other country. If they dont have a visa, lock them up and deport them.
Next time I come through Narita I might dress up as an Alien and say "Everyone on the Earth, let us be friends"

I guess that the ministry of defense could have saved all of that money it spent on PAC-3 missiles and it's AEGIS combat systems if the next enemy of the state is going to be UFO's. Perhaps you may start seeing loud speakers planted on Tokyo Tower blasting Slim Whitman's "Indian Love Call" which proved quite effective against the aliens.
That's funny yes but better to be prepared.
If they come and burn the country, the same people in this forum will be angry against the government for failing to prepare.
Be sure than other countries has this in mind too.

Seeing that nobody asked him about UFO at the news conference in spite of its being a little topic in the government the last few days, Ishiba san urged of himself the news reporters to kindly ask of it, saying smilingly "No other questions?". This leadership has really a good staff of ingenuously open and boyish ministers.
color is the sky in this guy's world ?

they came knocking at my door, telling me that I could live forever in heaven. I told them no thanks, living in the same place for eternity sounds boring.

is ask around who in the Japanese Govt. knew Lt.Col. Corso, author of the book, "The Day After Roswell", since Lt. Col. Corso was connected to SCAP. Lt. Col. Corso is the REAL thing, and that book was the expose to end exposes. Highly documented w/ declassified info from govt. archives, it was unbelievable the amount of classified info revealed in the book. I am the follow thru b/c I know the "transistor story" that developed in Japan after he worked on it. Defense Minister Shigeru Ishiba has the resources to confirm some of Lt.Corso's past background.

If you think UFOs do not exist, then you are crazy.
The term stands for "unidentified flying object" NOT alien spacecraft. Got that? No, I do not think you do.
Objects, which "appear" to be flying, and are not readily identifiable, have been around for a long time. Some have been identified, like floating balls of methane gas, some have not. Such objects that people cannot make out what they are seeing are viewed by pilots, both commecial and military, all the time. Astronauts and cosmonauts have also seen objects they simply cannot identify, and so have people operating radar screens.
Now the question is, when you are the Minister of Defense, and such an object has been seen in your country's airspace and you dont even know what it is, what the HECK do you do? Who do you alert? Do you just order it shot down? Send planes? Send missles? Go back to sleep? What?
If some chunk of space debris were to fly in no one would know what it was right away and they would call it a UFO. And if they could shoot it down, but just did not react fast enough, you would be up in arms if it took out a big chunk of Tokyo. You would ask "Why did they not prepare for this?"
Keep laughing.

Does this mean there will be a new batch of alien language teachers in the junior high schools? Should they be called AATs? The Defense Minister is correct...it's good to have a plan in place for every eventuality.
