Panasonic delivers TV handsets to DoCoMo

TOKYO — Panasonic Mobile Communications Co announced Monday that it has begun shipment of its P905iTV mobile phones to NTTDoCoMo. Combining the design concept of Panasonic large-screen flat-panel TV VIERAand its high-quality picture technologies, the P905iTV is a sliding handset featuring "One-segment" mobile TV.




Panasonic said that the handset adopts frame conversion technology from 15 frames to 30 frames per second enables for a high quality "One-Segment" mobile TV together on a 3.5-inch screen. The P905iTV adopts new styles for users to enjoy "One-Segment" mobile TV viewing and music playing, installed in its battery charger stand with high quality sound speakers.

mobile. How many people actually watch TV on their mobiles.I may catch a program while waiting for the train, but once you go underground, through tunnels and stations and the picture cuts in bits and peices you just say forget it after 10 minutes. What they needs is too broadcast or piggy back off other transmission to get seemless tv. I would be more than happy to download programs or save stuff on the SD-CARD, but it is such a pain with the DRM crap. Maybe when the sort out the x10 copy protection sometime this year I can watch video clips from my PC on my mobile hopefully in some other format than MP4.
