| What do you think about the false accusation of groping against men on trains? |

Nakasone, 25
"I was molested by perverts on a train when I was a primary school student. My sister suffers from groping almost every morning on the train. Women-only cars on trains are good but they are not practical because they are always at the end of the train." |

Murakami, 28
"I was so shocked to hear the news that a woman intentionally accused a man of groping her on the train as part of a scam to get money. I think we should avoid rush hour on the train as much as possible. The only sure way to avoid a false accusation like that is not to be on the train in the first place, and to do that would require a major change in lifestyle." | Read More... |
| What do you think about food safety? |

Nagai, 24
"We produce gyoza in Japan using ingredients made in Japan. We no longer use phrases like 'genuine Chinese food' on our packages of foods that might be associated with scandals. Recently, many retailers have been requesting high quality production processes in the factory. We took a hit over the gyoza scandal, but sales are recovering gradually now." |

Anderson, Canada
"I work for the Canadian Agri-Food office. I think food safety is always an ongoing issue for Japanese who request high quality of food, which doesn't particularly apply only to the recent food scandals. Fortunately, Japanese people trust the safety of our Canadian food. This is because industries and the government in Canada have been seriously working on the issue." | Read More... |
| What do you think about mobile phone services? |

Yano, 19
"I made my first contract with au because they offer a student discount. Since I use au, my family have changed carriers from DoCoMo to au. Although mobile companies advertise 'cheap plans,' I'm not sure if these new plans are really cheaper than they used to be." |

Nagayama, 34
"Because I don't use my mobile phone so often, the fee isn't expensive for me now. I do think the procedure for changing mobile phone companies is complicated. I want a handset with much simpler functions and good design." | Read More... |
| What do you think about the arrest of Kazuyoshi Miura in Saipan over the 1981 murder of his wife? |

Takenoya, 29
"I think he is guilty, but maybe that's because I remember the massive media coverage of the case when I was a kid. I still have a bad impression of him. I don't think the statute of limitations should be a factor in cases like this, considering victims and their families. But I am interested to see what new evidence the U.S. police and FBI have if Miura goes to trial." |

Takayama, 32
"I don't know about the legality of him being arrested again, but I think if a person commits a crime, he/she is forever a criminal. From the point of view of the victim's family, his arrest is probably good news. Personally, I think he's guilty." | Read More... |
| What do you think about the recent spate of crimes involving U.S. military personnel in Okinawa? |

Mogi, 26
"I know not every American soldier is a bad people. The U.S. military needs to strongly give its personnel a moral education. But even if they do, I still think there will be further such crimes again and again. We're dealing with human nature. Some people just cannot control their behavior." |

Yuko, 22
"I feel scared by the presence of U.S. bases. Since we have different cultures and communication styles, we need to know more about each other at the community level. Without a better understanding of each other, there will be more incidents." | Read More... |
| What do you think about the poisoned gyoza cases? |

Fujioki, 70
"Because I have been to China before and found it's still underdeveloped, it's understandable that their products are of low quality. I won't buy any made-in-China food if possible." |

Hamaguchi, 36
"Whenever I buy food at supermarkets, I always carefully check to see where the product was made. But I don't thin w ecan say that all Chinese-made food is at risk. I think the media coverage is too excessive, and it may be freaking consumers out more than is necessary. I'm waiting to see what develops." | Read More... |
| What do you think about the custom of women giving men "giri" chocolate (obligation chocolate) on Valentine's Day in Japan? |

Kaoru, 31
"I think 'giri-choco' is a sort of way to say thanks to our male colleagues and bosses in the office. It's OK with me because it helps smoothe communication. But if someone feels it as an obligation, it's not good. Some women say 'giri-choco' is a waste of money, but I think what we get in return on White Day on March 14 is in fact more expensive than chocolates, from my experience." |

Tomura, 20
"I think giving 'giri-choco' is not as serious a thing as many guys seem to think. I just give chocolates to guys in the same way I usually share snacks with them in the office. I often buy expensive Valentine chocolates for myself. Guys should take it easy and not get carried away if they receive chocolates on Valentine's Day." | Read More... |
| Are you eco-friendly in your daily lifestyle? |
Iizuka, 31
"I separate trash, recycle polystyrene trays and bottles, and save energy at home as much as I can. However, I don't feel I'm making much of an effort for environmental protection. I sometimes don't know what is good for the environment." |
Yabuki, 46
"I put used trays in recycling containers at supermarkets as soon as I buy things there. I also buy packs of shampoo, not bottles, because we can reuse the bottles I've already bought." | Read More... |
