    Kim, by the way, is more like a clan name than a family name.

    No, I should know. It's a legitimate last name shared by about 8 million Koreans (just over 10% of Koreans worldwide). There are different clans within Kim.

    Misoshiro: Koreans do not seem to cry when they win, from what I can see in the picture.

    What a strange comment- she actually cried after they played the national anthem. Does it really matter whether or not someone cries? Mao is disappointed- I can't say that I blame her.

    Added- the Japanese seem to do much better in other winter sports that don't traditionally attract other Asian countries.

    No offense to the Japanese, but why do their medal counts pale in comparison to the industrial might of their nation? Does the Japanese government not provide enough support to their athletes?

    I am sure many teams use the "skate behind the Koreans" tactic. And many skaters do seem to get the gold by using it.

    What is it about their skating style that's so problematic?

    their coach was going ballistic, let me tell you!

    Just how bad was it (not shown on TV of course)? Is this a decision they can fight (maybe like the Canadian figure skating pair in 2002)?

    He threw a bottle at a Chinese who was secretly videotaping the Koreans practice.
