I wonder who tipped the police off. Some jilted lover? Yes, it is ridiculous that they stop the show. What he does in his private life has nothing to do with the drama. Imagine if they had the same attitude in the West. All the great music that come out of the late 60's and 70's would have been pulled! "We decided to pull all the albums of The Rolling Stones because were arrested for using drugs" quoted a record company exec.

This is a lame article. Digital TV offers the consumer a lot including a better quality image and High Definition. The whole article is about one persons opinion on the motives of the officials.

rjd_jr's comments are completely wrong. I've heard of kids not being allowed to climb trees without supervision. Kids need to learn on their own. What has happened is unfortunate but playing without adult supervision is part of being a kid.

I blame Mr. and Mrs. Joe-America. Too greedy. Wanted the dream house that they should have known they can't afford.
Nah, just joking. But I think there is blame all along the chain. It's simplistic to blame Wall St. as a whole. As my name suggests looking back at the mistakes should allow you to avoid them again, but this is the first of such a crisis. Lack of understanding is probably the biggest culprit.

A lot of posters here seem almost to be happy that rich traders are losing their jobs. Smacks of jealousy to me. I'll agree that working in the industry you have to be prepared for bad times as well as good times and these traders should know that. However, it's never any fun to lose your job in a market that doesn't look like recovering for a long while. So I feel for these guys. Also, I think you can blame the CEO. He kept on hiding the real position of the company and also didn't take enough painful steps early enough to svae it.

I quite like Ajiko, which is headed up by Ua. I only have one album and I'm not sure they did anything else. Hiki is not too bad, but I don't really listen to her anymore and her English songs (lyrics) are painfully bad. Some 'Every Little Thing' is OK, but I think it's more that I find Kaori Mochida attractive.

It used to bug me that my ex=girlfriend wanted to buy from the famed Ginza window. I explained to her that it didn't affect the odds at all and she understood that. Her explanation was that she 'felt better' about getting a winning ticket from that window. ANyway, going by the numbers Cleo posted it looks like there is 56,796,000,000 of prize money compared with 120,000,000,000 of punters money, giving a return of 47.33% I.e, for every 1,000 you put in expect 473 yen back. Not sure how this compares to other countries' lotteries.

Zen Builder, did it occur to you to research anything before you rant? The packet deal for the iPhone allows for unlimited data, so heavy data sites will make no difference in charges. The 'full browser' that some phones purport are a joke. Apple has the only credible 'full browser'. Lack of saifu is much more of a concern. But no '1 seg'? Who cares!!!

I've seen it work with people in the same department. But that does take some work, and the participants have to be sensible. My recomendation is a different department where you're not likely to meet during the work day. I've done it before and I'm in the same situation at the moment. It can have potential to be distasterous, though.

A presumptuous methinks. How do you know what my staple food is?

That's just silly. I'd like to see a double blind test to see if Japanese consumers can tell the difference between local and imported rice. It would be a good idea for a game show or something. Japan should probably give up on farming rice altogether and import it. It costs so much to locally grow rice that they have to levy hefty tarrifs on imported rice to stay competitive.
