And just how would you propose to 'spread the yen around'? In some ways Kamei has a point, businesses are to blame. But it's not the abandonment of 'lifetime employment', but instead the way that Japanese companies expect/demand that employees devote themselves to the company rather than their families.

Ishihara is the biggest proponent of the Olympics in Tokyo. Not sure why but I would guess it's a lot to do with his oversized ego. Fully 60% of Japanese polled don't support the 2016 Olympics in Tokyo, so that must certainly hurt it's bid.

It's fine. I would say that they both get something that they wouldn't get with same age relationships, which is the reason for entering into it. It's not just one way. People wouldn't enter into such relationships if it wasn't.
