"For years, I’ve maintained that what Japan’s cities need is more car thieves."
"send them home" for saying or encouraging that. not the best way to promote an idea

"Has been my airline of choice for the past few years"
really? I tried to avoid them as of 5 years ago... I would say the last five years have been their worst customer service wise... many strikes over the years, lost luggage, rude, unreliable, steal defeat from the hands of victory with their new terminal.... they used to be alot better too long ago.

just a couple of chaps trying to save some money on airfare. I hardly see a problem.
hardly see a problem... I see this kind of rude selfish behaviour too much and it is one of the stereotype reasons or things about Chinese that Japanese commonly report a dislike to. … there will be the typical kind of comments after Japanese hearing this story

"didn't want motion control for the wii. Don`t want it for the playstaion. I am not opposed to change at all. I am tired after I get home from a long full day of work. I go to the gym a few days a week to get exercise. When I get home I don't want to stand up, dance around, swing my arms all night. I want to sit down and relax."
..news for you... they don't just make this product just for you.. plenty of people prefer the wii idea and hence why its so popular and has opened up a new market. So maybe this is going to be popular for others.

"Yes, because I could only buy the item I wanted from overseas"
... yes but of course then a hefty import tax is added... to protect the local companies.... that ironically don't make the specification of goods that you want.

going from one to the other.. the dubbing though can be rubbish.. eg: japanese animation with american dubbing..completely changes the movie... but so many people seem against watching a movie with subtitles.

As said by many before its only in America that its a being made such a big deal.
...look round the rest of the world or at least on english news sites and you can see its way down in what people are interested in reading about..
BBC - it doesn't even make the top 10... some minor tv celebs divorce is far more popular.

So in the UK where they have covered the US story about Toyota.. it seems that cheryl cole announces separation, a story about a pot hole fixing machine, a comedian dies, a tv presenter apologies for swearing, etc are all more popular stories than the Toyota one according to the bbc website stats... (even though those other articles are harder to find on the site)
..so maybe only in the states is Toyota's business a big deal.

it will run and run in the news if the usa keep creating a news story out this and not other recalls, etc.

"only in america Yes, in Japan they would have stopped sales altogether until safety measures had been restored..."
...The rest of the world is a bit bigger than just Japan (&USA)… only the USA mainly are making a big deal out of this.. in other countries its off the news radar as most car recalls are. No big deal.
I wonder how the many USA Toyota workers, designers, engineers, sales execs think about this.

One thing health wise that Japan could be good at which is relatively simple is dental care. In the uk many Japanese are shocked when they have to go for dental treatment when the dentists ask them in wonder “who did your previous dental work its very good”…. The patient now worrying about what the dentist is about to do!! This is comparing with the UK though.. not famous for teeth… and Japanese then making the trip just to Japan for dental work shows how bad it is… and of course being too polite to explain to fellow nhs hospital workers why. Lol.
