I would prefer medical treatment in Japan over the toooo SLOW UK... where after wait after wait after wait, referral, referral, etc, wait after wait for results, don't know how to use the kit they have ( if they even have it).... it will be too late to treat what they might or might not even be able to find
...seen it soooo many times and that why uk health system is held in such low opinion by Japanese living there ... such that they would rather fly to Japan just for a simple dental check up/work.
Guess the USA has that coming if they go UK NHS style.
Prefer Japan to USA or UK as is now.

"none of these Japanese phone OSes" - symbian partly was.... but now open source.
and besides Japanese phone manufacturers aren't interested in the outside world as they have their own market.

"Cynics may claim the whole issue is merely a foreign-led feeding frenzy against the world’s leading auto manufacturer"
Might be some basis to this because it seems America is more "upset" or making a big deal about this(maybe an agenda) than the say the uk.... where generally they are not so bothered or alot of people mocking the people that are making build deal about.. like learn to drive!!!!
... car recalls happen - nothing new is popular angle in uk... but then again the famous 1970's uk build quality... well cant really criticise... and where are the parts made/designed anyway was the original news - which i just guess fuels the Japanese looking down on other countries abilities when it comes to making things ( even if it has their badge on it).?

"The world’s press has Toyota under the microscope"
...maybe so
.... but is anyone looking in the microscope??
... because most of the reports I've read skimp on full details or post a news article with a slanted agenda.

The name "Iron Fist" as in "...to rule with.." I presume. Seems somewhat incongruous with "self defence". I just hope these kids have some idea what their grandfathers got up to 65 years ago but somehow I doubt it or they would not have chosen this name for their exercise.
..oh yeah important to note and yeah and I wish the kids of grandfathers on "the other side" knew the wrongs they have done round the world since then... welcome to the perfect world. lol

LOL "even though a U.S. court gave him full custody of the kids when Noriko fled"
so what? just the opinion of a us court... hardly an international opinion or decision maker for the world..

Dimmable lights.. yep have to shop around for those in the various "green dflavors": CFL, Green Halogen, LED
Posted in: LED bulbs

yes can be plugged into standard light fitting yes... wow surprise yes consumes 3.8 W yes.... so what.. its an LED yes colour rating etc.. yes check
What about the important bit... what about the amount of light output??? Like the bit about how well it does it function?... its primary job?... Yes I can also save electricity by turning off the lights and getting eye strain. Quite a lot of people elsewhere know how bad (CFL)Compact Fluorescent Light "green" bulbs are compared to the (more popular in other countries) incandescent bulbs ( now outlawed in some places). I know Japan likes bright lights... so is safe to to presume that this is?

Japan maybe could help its nationals (or some permanent residents in Japan) by allowing dual citizenship...
At the moment the situation creates a lot of Japanese living permanently abroad ( via marriage or whatever) but will not be allowed to vote.
(.. because it would be insane in most cases to give up the Japanese passport.)

"If a person marries a local and takes up residence there, that often means they've willfully adopted a new home!"
haha
your having a laugh or haven't had enough contact with the many that live abroad because of family and family only.. they really struggle with the host country or don't want to really be there to be honest... only the fact that they met someone keeps them there and maybe that someone is unable to move or for what ever multitude of reasons.

"For the iPhone (non-hacked) you must disable the cell (pop the sim) and have wifi to use skype. For the iPod touch you must have wifi..... blah blah blah blaahhhhhzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"
yeah really useful for the average user, let alone gran to master.
Nice simple device ( thats not a downloadable function that requires setting up on a pc or smartphone) would be useful and have more take up for the mass market...but at a better price than this offering.
Does it have an option to connect to a TV. Is it portable too ( ie can you carry the camera round the house/garden to show the other caller - you can do that with a laptop).

"Yes, only because I can't think of any other way that this will stop"
... that probably means your point of view is wrong then if you have to use force to get people to behave and think the way you want them to.
This applies to almost anything up to how people are governed and ruled. Maybe you think you should rule the whole world and they should all be just like you???
(certainly people in the past thought that with their imperial conquests... but I pretty sure that has mostly gone out of acceptable fashion)

I suppose she will (unknowingly-i'm sure) be performing then in or for the country that pioneered that type of tv singing/talent program decades prior to the current boom in the last decade that has made simon and the programs franchise et al a load of cash.
