Aza, Wow, thank you for your straightforward answer. That's pretty refreshing. So many just try to avoid difficult to field questions making discussion a chore. You DO realise that buses in Israel aren't likely to have political leaders or soldiers, right? That markets and nightclubs aren't military outposts, right? These are the places that the bombers have targeted. The bombers you revere have taken the lives of women and children. that is FACT.

VOR, 3000 in the past year approx. according to a recent article here.

Do you Hamas supporters just forget about the suicide bombers? So Hamas doesn't have the weaponry of Israel. So what. None of that diminishes or brings back the Israeli dead. You can't poke a bear with a toothpick, and then say it's unfair when it takes your head off with it's claws. Both sides have suffered losses. Such is the nature of war. The Hamas supporters here seem to forget that.

I used to go to that theater in high school. It's in deep South Philly, near the pier. I was a few blocks away from my school. That area used to be full of mafia. The guy's an ass for carrying in a theater, but if he didn't have it, who's to say he wouldn't have beaten the guy instead? If he was angry enough to shoot him, I think he would've done something anyway even if he didn't have the gun. I agree though that laws should make it more difficult for idiots like this to own guns.

Well, that's a new cap on something old. Itcher74, you still provide no links, say the same things, even expect me to debate your point for you. Going around in circles like this is not only counter-productive to finding a solution, it's boring. Let go of the hate, maybe you can find a way to contribute instead of hinder. When you have something of substance to say, I'll gladly listen. Till then...

Funny you should tell me to Google because when I do, I get articles like this one from the BBC: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/1197051.stm Why should I work to prove YOUR point to me? That's not how a debate works. You haven't answered my question, Do you agree that innocents on both sides have died?

Itcher74, Again, you said that already. Still no links? All we can definitely agree on is that there's conflict. Where's your proof of oppression? Do you agree that innocents on both sides have died?

Itcher74, I notice you seem to talk in circles, saying the same things over again and adding nothing to the debate. I have yet to see any proof you provide for your accusations (links, please?) of racism or genocide. Instead you rely on inflammitory and emotive jargon which is tiresome to read. It would be nice if you could debate the issue more intelligently, and without flames. I would like to hear your answer to my previous post here.

I wonder, there are those that say that Israel is lying. They also believe Hamas is telling the truth. Has it ever occured to you that both may be lying? That both may be stretching the truth to suit their needs, to gain sympathy for their cause? EVERY government in existence has lied to increase their power and support from the public. Is Hamas totally different? Is Hamas magically above lying, and couldn't possibly be decieving people? If so, they'd be the only ones in history.

I want to be clear, I think the killing of innocents is deplorable, and I wish there would be a way without the bloodshed. I just hate hypocrites who come out supporting Hamas crying about dead Palestinian women and children while ignoring articles like these... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/1197051.stm ... Or worse, justifying Hamas killing Jews and in the same breath crying over the innocent Palestinian dead. Hamas has killed many innocents, and by that I mean people who have nothing to do with their "oppression". Women, children, civilian men. The vast majority are targeting heavily populated areas to kill as many of the enemy as possible. It doesn't matter that most of those killed probably never held a gun. It doesn't seem to matter that the people on the buses on their way to work aren't soldiers or politicians. BTW, here's a comparison I want people to consider: 2 guys, both angry at the system for kicking them all the time. Both have the desire to punish pretty much anyone. One straps a bomb to himself and blows up a bus in Jerusalem, killing people on thier way to work. Some here seem to be saying he'd be justified. The other rams a truck into random people and goes on a stabbing spree in Akihabara. NO one here would even attempt to be on his side. The parallels are all there, both disgusted with society, both engage in random killing. Why does one get excuses while the other does not?

Because everybody knows soldiers and political leaders in Israel hang out at bus stops and on buses and that nightclubs and markets are military outposts.

Poor Hamas getting attacked by Israel... Of course they've done nothing to deserve it. I mean just look at the list of actions taken by Hamas as compiled by the BBC, a fact finding British news organization. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middleeast/1197051.stm And we all know how the children need to learn how to harness deep political hate so they can grow up to be big strong suicide bombers themselves. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middleeast/6257594.stm Not that I like him myself, but don't you think this is a bit much? http://www.newser.com/story/23129/puppet-kills-bush-on-hamas-kids-show.html Can you say that the part about "The puppet Bush pleads for his life and offers food and toys, but dies after being told that the White House has been turned into a "great mosque.""doesn't disturb you? Teaching kids it's ok to kill, sounds quite "beastly" to me.

I meant "the woman being veiwed as little more than a man's plaything" part is outdated, nothing else.

I'm not saying that the urges can't be controlled. I'm saying you can't deny they exist. People who can control the urges can and may find fulfilment in monogamy. It's funny that you liken cheating to car theft, since historically that's what adultery was akin to- the violation of a man's property. Consequently, it was accepted that men would go to prostitutes and such to slake his lust, but no such thing was proper for a woman since she was veiwed as little more than a man's plaything. Fortunately that kind of thinking is out-dated. One cannot deny the fact that we are animals and often instinct outweighs reason.

The desire to be promiscuous for men is genetic. There is a deep-seated primal desire for men to spread thier seed, and the denial of that is unnatural. In this day and age the disrespect comes in the hiding of the exploration of said desires. That's a little over-simplified, but it's the gist of it. I know of several successful relationships where the partners are completely honest about thier extra-marital trysts, usually employing a set of mutually agreed upon guidelines.

People are geneticaly hard-wired to continue the species through promiscuity. It's been that way since time immemorial. The fact that people don't need to be promiscuous anymore to continue the human race is only a testament to how effective it has been. Cleo, only in recent centuries has there been effective contraceptives. The human race for what, 3 million years has been obeying the biological imperative to have lots of sex. Do you think that somehow now that it's no longer required, we can just switch it off?

Thank you USAFdude. Your post shows the kind of integrity and sense of duty we need in our military. Indeed our duty as citizens of the US (for those of us who are) and citizens of the world does not stop here. We must continue to strive to affect positive change in the world as a whole. The message couldn't be more clear: Americans are ready for a change. As the market plunge has shown, we can ill-afford to pretend that the US President doesn't concern every country. Sarge, et al, I can only hope that the bitterness is short, and we can put aside parties and work to improve America.
