So the real issue here is Obama says the constitution is flawed? You mean the same constitution that once contained laws that allowed one man to own another, yet in the same breath say all men are equal? Say it aint so. Can one seriously say that the constitution is perfect? If that's the case, why are new laws added every year? Why do laws differ from state to state? If the constitution were perfect as you claim (as implied by your outrage at Obama's statement) wouldn't we have the same laws everywhere?

We need to change our tactics in the ME, as the current ones aren't working. Osama Bin Laden has NOT been found. With the diplomatic support of the ME, it would definitely be easier to find him and bring him to justice. Talks with these leaders may in fact prevent more lost lives. Making enemies of them and keeping our troops engaged in a 100 year war that McCain once suggested WILL without a doubt lead to more of our boys and girls dying. Don't you think that we owe it to our troops to at least see if this can be resolved without more bloodshed? Or are thier lives not important enough?

So Obama has communist friends, so what? My best friend in the world, someone I trust completely, is a Republican. In fact, quite a few of my friends are Repubs. We respect each other's views and debate often. BTW, I'm definitely NOT Republican. Obama's friends, aquaintences, what have you don't reflect who he is. Coulrophobic, are you implying that you wouldn't be friends with someone simply because their political veiws don't align with yours? Sounds intolerant to me.

In case it's not clear, I was being sarcastic when I wrote "If you're black and you vote Obama you're being racist." BTW, I was born and raised in the US, in the state of PA, in Philly. So your assumption I'm from Europe is laughable. The "Bro" comment was in reference to MsAnn's comment, and in no way reflects my knowledge or lack thereof of the slang.

If you're black and you vote Obama you're being racist. Never mind that Powell is a respected General and war hero who held a position second only to the C in C himself. He couldn't possibly know anything. It must be because he's a "Bro". What a way to just insult and malign an entire class of voters based on the color of thier skin. There ARE those who would vote for Obama because he's black, but still more so because they believe him good for the job. You do realise, there are people who vote for McCain because he's white, right? Are they wrong too, or is it ok because it's "right"?

"The liberal elite", huh? An average of 86 dollars is in what way elite? Seems the rich like the repubs most. The Hiltons, probably one of the most elite families in America gave a combined 3000 dollars (maximum allowable 1500 per person) to McCain's campain and the former Keating five player responded by calling their daughter an airheaded celebrity in an attempt to disparage Obama by equating the two. Great leadership your boy shows there. Petty and childish.

If Bush supported Obama I would stop bashing him. There's your bit. If Bush came out for Obama, he'd be breaking party lines like he liked to claim he did during his campain, and admit his Presidency was in large part, a failure. He would be putting America before his pride, and endorse someone who has the best chance of putting America back on the path of prosperity (McCain doesn't want to change much as he already stated). He would be admitting his mistakes, and that's worth a lot in my book.

BTW, he didn't say "5k per employee", he said that because Joe took a 5k hit ONE of his employees gets no raise or maybe gets fired.

Here's a question, the wealthiest 1% of Americans own 95% of everything but pay proportionately fewer taxes than the other 99%. Why shouldn't they pay more? Shouldn't they give more money to the government that is largely responsible for their wealth, whose services they avail themselves of? 250,000 a year is above the household median in even the richest neighborhoods. Why continue to put the weight of the taxes these people aren't paying on the poorest citizens? So Joe has to wait 5 months more to buy his business. Big deal. The cost of his success shouldn't be on our backs. As someone stated, Joe pays more taxes so that the people making less get a break, and can accually afford to hire Joe. Win/Win. Initially it will cause a loss, but the increase in lower working class capital will cause a boom in business as more people will be able to buy more things, more workers will be needed to meet demand, resulting in more jobs. Most if not all of the people in the 250,000+ range can afford the temporary loss.

Uh... in America you need a reason to fire someone. It's detailed in that pesky document entitled "Worker's Rights". It's here in Japan you don't need a reason.

Again with the picture of Ayers? All of a sudden he's Obama's mentor? Where do you get your lies? one dinner in '95, and he's Obama's mentor? Don't insult our intelligence. He lives in the same area, so what. If that's the case I'm Will Smith's mentor because we lived in the same area in Philly.

October Suprise! Not really, we saw this coming. "Violates the public trust" doesn't sound like a good campain platform. Her lawyer of course wants to skew and confuse saying she didn't have any "financial gain", conveiniently forgetting the second part of the law that stipulates "personal gain". Last time I checked, revenge is personal.

As of her birthday, she has more accurately 3,652 and 1/2 days (factoring in leap years) someone should put up a Maki Horikita countdown clock somewhere to motivate her. "Only 30 days left!? Oh no, I'm a loser!" Is JT trying to pimp her out?

Sarge- What you said makes sense. I want to ask then, if you truly think McCain is the man for the job. I realize that there's no other choice for faithful Repubs, but I can admit Biden would not have been my choice. McCain's party didn't even want him in '04. What's changed since then? From what I've seen McCain seems to want to stay the Bush course. Unless I'm mistaken this is why you support him. Doesn't his claim that he's a "maverick" (a core element of his campain) seem disingenuous if he simply wants to stay the party line? Is that a quality thats acceptable in a Prez? He insults my intelligence with his "maverick" claim.

Sarge, do you think Bush had NOTHING to do with the country's current economic woes? If you think he does have something to do with it, then what is it? Or do you totally blame Clinton and his cronies? I sincerely want to know.

If I stood up against the racial and political oppression (read: violence) of the 60's with violence in kind against the oppressors, I wouldn't have any regrets either. Our great nation was founded in exactly the same way. The Founding Fathers responded with violence against violent oppressors.

People need to get off the "stay in Iraq" bandwagon. The Democratically elected government there told us to leave. They said they can take it from here.
