What? Why? I cannot fathom what you are getting at here. Let me get this straight - you believe that evading detection or arrest for a relatively short period of time, and so avoiding being brought to justice, is the cornerstone of a just society?
Explain yourself. It seems to me to be quite the opposite - a symptom of an unjust society

What a fatuous comment. Would they also be like people who buy a car magazine to help them decide what car to buy? In a country of thousands of restaurants, if you want to know the very best, a guide like this is invaluable.

Narita is a pretty useless airport and I have not been through since 2002. I use Seoul's lovely Incheon to fly in and out of Japan. Using a local Japanese airport and flying to Incheon removes most of the stress and the queues. Changing flights there is easy and stress-free.
The duty free is pretty good too.

Halloween is about children dressing up and adults indulging in infantile fun, rather than a pagan suspension of taboos. Perhaps this artist's work is in that case the essence of modern Halloween.

"Inappropriate", as used in a politically correct context, such as, "inappropriate email" or, "inappropriate behaviour".
It is as though everything in the world is carved up into 2 totally objective baskets, the "appropriate" and the "inappropriate".
OK, not used in conversation much, but more the dreaded corporate speak of some jumped up busy-body.

There are no "rights", only realpolitik in the big boys' playground.
Those who have these weapons will do their damnest to keep them out of the hands of those they feel are most likely to use them. When a push comes to a shove, they believe that "rights" are for philosophy students, not for application to the real world of international politics.

I love these loaded questions. How about asking the same question with reverse-loading, such as, "Is it wise for democratic industrialised countries to try to prevent emerging nations with unstable or intolerent governments from acquiring nuclear weapons?"

I am a member of Twitter, but have only ever Twatted once. Could not see the point. No idea how it could ever create the advertising revenue to justify its existence.

Exactly. There are also a lot of prescription drug abusers in North America - one star collects so many prescriptions it seems to be some kind of Basic Instinct for her. Kate Moss got done for coke, but it hardly affected her career.
So Nori P. did the odd line of speed - big deal, she was hardly mugging old ladies for their pension.

Looks so much nicer than the tattoos I saw on the wannabe yakuza in the onsen in August.
She can come to my onsen any day.

It is still Japanese curry - quite unrelated to anything from the Indian sub-continent.
Spicy Indian food looks like it will never catch on in Japan. Kare Raisu is always advertised as though it comes from France or Italy; a connection I have never quite grasped.

Not sure about that - the pears grow all by themselves. The hard work is the picking and someone else did that for him!

The LDP's pump-priming measures over the last 10 years have done little but provide the facade of continued wealth, when in fact all it is based on is borrowed money at low interest rates.
Japan needs to look at what sort of country it wants to be in 20 years and what it realistically can afford. The ageing population, increased deindustrialisation and the need to pay of debt are all problems that need to be addressed.
Japan needs to have a grown up debate about these issues. Increased child benefit will certainly help address one of these. Other child-related benefits would see an increased number of women in the workforce.
Reducing the construction budget is a must - the Public Works budget is 14% of the government budget, or 7 trillion yen. It is often wasteful and unecessary, leaving a significant proportion of the population in a unproductive part of the economy.
Personally, I cannot see how Japan is going to pay for all those old people and pay off its national debt, but the worst option of all is for Japan to put its head in the sand and that seems to be what it has been doing for the last decade.

I am sorry you think so. "Gullible" is a very pejorative way to say "trusting" or "honest". Why is it a crime (they "deserve" punishment so you must consider trust to be an offence) to believe that what someone says to you and to start with a presumption of trust?
Is not more worrying that non-Japanese and Westerners are now so cyncical that every claim is immediately met with suspicion of some ulterior motive? The Japanese live in a largely honest society where one can presume honesty. Many Westerners live in crime-ridden corrupt societies where one must presume deceit.

Odd, but the the next line is "Body feels EXCITE", which more or less makes sense.
Actually, don't a lot of English song lyrics read like Engrish? "Rythm is a dancer" - I mean, what on earth does that mean?

I love my T-shirt with the message, "BASE OF VIGOR - Laugh to when enjoy it now". Meaningless, yet wonderful. Personally, I enjoy "clap Engrish" immensly.
Ok, it is not helpful to your English student and English speakers could take offense blah blah blah, but I am passed caring these days.
Oh, did you know that the average Japanese thinks that a "flea market" is actually a "free market". Understandable mistake I suppose and perhaps it is something that would otherwise be lost in translation.
