"Japan sees no major trouble as main competitor goes bankrupt."
Basically, American cars are a load of XXXX and have been a laughing stock around the world for decades. Obama must make sure that money thrown at them now is not a case of throwing good money after bad. The US car industry needs to make efficient, practical cars that can do innovative things, like actually turn corners.

You have to turn up to class in Japan? Poor things. At university I only had 2 or 3 compulsory hours a week, the lectures were optional.
After all, as long as I handed in essays on time and passed my exams, whose business is it whether I turn up or not.

I think that I have heard something like this too. I also read somewhere recently that a typlical "black" American, will have about 20% white DNA, showing that mixed relationships (in the broadest sense!) having been going on for a very long time.

Go through the lie, looking for inconsistencies. They get very vague when pushed for details and their eyes "swim" when they need that split second to create that new details.
Look into their eyes, not around the eyes, look into their eyes.

Exactly - he only has one seat - where the hell would he put the dogs otherwise?
What fool would faithfully follow every rule of the road in Japan - look at the absurdly low speed limits - it easier to get and jog that follow them and everyone does 10 to 20 more than the official limit. I used to regularly (and safely) do over 90 in a country road, and would have done more if Kei-chan had had it in her.

They are used to great effect in parts of Britain, apparently, but as mentioned above, they are very upsetting for babies who are within earshot. Few babies are likely to be in a park after dark.
Another scheme that has also been shown to work, and is less infringeing on humna rights is classical music played in these areas. The youths, who presumably listen to the lowest common denominator of music, R 'n'B, are driven away by Mozart. Everyone else positively likes it.

They will agree with the judge. The system proposed is not really a jury but more a lay magistrate type set-up.

I bet you that I could get you to tell me your PIN number for your bank card armed with only the tools in my tool box and a power supply and you safely shackled.
I hate to be purile, but these things are not as black and white and you claim. People have been torturing since the dawn of time because it almost certainly does work, used "correctly".
I am not supporting its use, simply making clear that it can work practically.

Moving away jfrom imported Asian-pop being popular in the US, consider how few US-born Asian stars there at all. Utada Hikaru is a clear exception, but beyond that, there are very few Asian music stars.

The question refers to "extreme" Islamic rule, so I think that this clearly means examples whereby a strict interpretation of the Koran holds sway over all law, such as Saudi Arabia and Iran (and previously Afganistan), rather than countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia and Egypt. I would have thought that very clear from the question,
If such a party does take over, the response will be from India, not "The West".

What is an effective means of interrogating prisoners? At the extreme end of torture you have electrodes attached to the privates, but at what point does interrogation become torture?
Interrogaters naturally need to persuade, disconcert and confuse their interviewees, but we need to agree where the fine line is. Water boarding falls into the unacceptable category as far as I am concerned, but certain interrogation techniques are required to encourage the subject to talk.
Actual torturers have stated that the threat of torture is more effective than the act itself. If you survive water boarding once, a second time will not help much. A 183rd time would be pointless.

I am aware that Christianity does not really follow the teachings of the Old Testament. However, you asked us to name 1 religion that sanctioned stoning for apostacy other than Islam and I also named Judaism, which is a large religion. In terms of the Old Testament, we like to pick and choose which bits of it we consider worth our inclusion and which bits are just the random rules of an ancient tribal society.
Most of the OT prophets still get a pretty big billing in the Christian church and why has the modern church not cast out the books of Deutronomy and Leviticus etc and added them to the apocrypha?

I will name you 2: Judaism and Christianity. Deuteronomy 13:
"If thy brother...entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods...thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God"
Of course the 2 religions can live in peace - they have in the past and will again. However, the current state of affairs makes it unlikely for the foreseeable future.

The little smoking areas on platforms are a good balance between the rights of smokers and the majority, but they should be adhered to. Psych above shows how a balance can be achived. Drunks smoking all over the platform is not helpful and this guy deserves the punishment he gets.
