It is an amazing experience. The speed and the power of the horse and the strength of the arrow as it smashes through the target take your breath away.
For just a brief second, you get a sense of the effectiveness of a trained samurai on horse back and the damage they could inflict.

Blood type horoscopes are complete nonsense.
But then again, I would think that - my blood type is A.
Posted in: Blood type is a good tool to understand different human behaviors. Most Japanese have some knowledge of each blood type and its trait so blood type often becomes a good conversation piece.

There is not enough agricultural land in Japan to feed 120m people. Forget handwringing about foreign hamburgers, even soyabeans are imported.
Unless Japan reduces its population and increases its agricultural land, it will need to rely on imports.

Hard to believe it is the same city.
It does look a bit like Tokyo Station on the left, but I am pretty sure it is the Diet in the background.

He was playing it with his brother, who was presumably older. The parents may have left them together, but you would think that a childs play area would at the very least be safe for children to play in. Even if the parents were standing over them, it would be difficult to monitor their every exact movement, as every parent knows.
A liability disclaimer on a toy clearly designed for children would carry no weight in avoiding liability. Compensation is due, but in Japan it will probably be very little in comparison to the guilt and anger that the family will feel over this.

Mael, would you be able to back up any of this with respected sources without sounding like a rabid anti-semite? No? Thought not.
It would appear the Schiff helped lend Japan money substantially prior to WWII - at the time of the Russia-Japan war at the turn of the century. He also helped market what are now called Samurai bonds.
In case you had forgotten, Japan was in WWI on the side of the allies, fighting against the Germans, so lending Japan money was hardly a crime. However, as a wealthy, prominent Jew, he was and is inevitably the focus of anti-Jewish propaganda and conspiracy theories, of which you are unfortunately a proponent.

I think this is because Swiss are grown up and mature and so can be trusted with weapons. This does not translate into an argument for allowing the citizens of the US to have them.

Actually, 1% the population is Christian, but this 1% forms 6% of those who express a faith.
As for who first brought Christianity to Japan, who knows? However, whether the Gospel had been taught or not, it is unlikely to have been at the will or whim of God. There have been plenty of tribes discovered in Brazil who had their first contact with the world in the 20th century, suggesting negligence on His part.
Similarities between Shintoism and Judaism are likely to be coincidences - the Star of David is such a logical thing to draw that it is highly probably that it would occur in more than one place on earth. If you look hard enough you will find links - rather like those cranks who go in for "Bible code".

The 50Cal is really overkill when you have the Lapua .338
I guess kids don't buy the Red Rider BB gun anymore.
You really should get out more (but leave the guns at home).
Is it me, or does this all come down to an argument between grown ups and a bunch stuck in permanent adolescence (who all happen to have been born in one particular country)?

Untrue I am afraid - try it. Store inside and it will be different, but apparently quickly starts to stink.
A traditional fruit wedding or Christmas cake stored in an air tight tin can last for decades. Miss Faversham's (Great Expectations) cake would probably still have been edible.
