quite ridiculous response, I am much more in tune with the folks that make laugh out of it on twitter.
Fact is they both went knowingly and illegally to a war that Japan has no part in, I don't see why that would be treated any differently than someone executed for crimes in a foreign country , Japanese government should just ignore the demands and tell IS to go look elsewhere ( where sun dont shine ) .

The evidence? Him driving would be enough... someone with dementia has no business wandering the streets

How about starting to fine and catch dangerous car drivers first ffs that and all em "blinkers" parked on the bike lanes.
That said I do agree some people should not be allowed on a bicycle.
Red light is a different matter - I think Japan, just because of ridiculous number of unnecessary traffic lights and large amount of cycling population should adopt the yield system where certain crossing would not require stopping but slowing down instead.

another old demented driver?
as a response to statistical accidents peaking at young age is because people drive more at that specific age, its really quite simple . Simple fact is that anyone over 65 driving is a menace, they are stubborn, often in bad health and clouded judgement. Old people SHOULD not be allowd on the road!

everything unruly can be resolved with some courtesy and airlines need to treat every passenger again with proper dignity except in extreme cases where a physical restraint is needed.

kiwiboy, no , your concept of the road rules is wrong. Unless you on a highway where pedestrians should not be , you need to be watching out every second.
Yes the blind faith is correct, simply because in front of every crossing you should slowdown and no you should not be exceeding speed that would allow you to stop in any emergency.
if you dont like these rules - tough luck, I dont see why would anyone need a car in the city anyways.

dear Tim, you are supposed to stop at any crossing, regardless of the pedestrian in it or not, go back to driving school before u kill someone.

dear kiwiboy, I think you need some driving lessons , at ANY circumstances, regardless of the light , pedestrians have the right of way! Always stop your polluting tank!
Alex EinzDec. 25, 2014 - 08:06PM JST
capital punishment regardless of outcome should be instituted to all car vs pedestrian accidents
that way, they will be arsed to stop and be carefull
So many times I was almost hit and hit by idiots turning like they are alon on the road, lately though I make them stop if i have time and actually call police if can see them around
Alex EinzDec. 19, 2014 - 11:58AM JST
that Hojo guy should have closed the door and call police on the non smoking nazi
I understand people saying something about clean air somewhere in the village but if you live in Tokyo or any proper urban environment complaining about second hand smoke is simply idiotic, if you care about fresh air to your lungs - start by banning cars
